Questions about Kaina and dragons as a whole

I'll be honest, I haven't totally dug into the lore about dragons, so I'm terribly sorry if this has been talked about in the past already.

So, here's my primary question. What the hell is up with Kaina and her being a dragon-taur? Dragons as far as I'm aware, based solely on Kas's daughters, are bipedal. From the dialogue with Kaina it isn't exactly specified what race her father was, just that he was an alchemist (unless I missed something), but I'd assume he was a taur himself of some sort? It's the only way I can wrap my head around her being a taur, unless Kas's daughters aren't dragons in the sense that they are in the world of CoC2, but based on what they are in the setting of CoC1? Or did the dragons of old walk on four legs more akin to the dragons of myths and legends in our own world, and that they then eventually got to the point of being bipedal?

My assumption is that the father was a taur, but I'll admit I got too curious not to try and ask on here for clarification on the matter, especially since I'm looking forward to the dragon TF itself, while also knowing that the champ can't become a taur themselves hence my assumption. So I guess this is as much a question about dragon lore itself, as it is a question about Kaina's heritage.

Kas' daughters are not dragons in the first place and they're not from Savarra so they're irrelevant to the local lore; they were lizard-folk from Mareth modified by Kas to be more draconic, Mareth-draconic to be specific though the two are close enough that various characters think of Aileh's features as draconic.

We're going to see what a full dragon looks like eventually when we meet Kaina's aunt, though Savin has dropped some hints of dragon lore on Discord occasionally, and there are hints here and there in the current game as well, like the codex entry for the 'manders.

Yeah I did have a sneaking suspicion that they weren't entirely dragon, or dragons at all, due to Kas's involvement in their birth, but I didn't really have a ton of other points to point towards in guessing whether or not dragons were actually bipedal or not. But I guess seeing as there are plans for a dragon TF for the champ, that they are actually bipedal, unless the TF is like the Drider one where the champ just doesn't become a taur in the progress. I need to see Kaina's aunt, but seeing as the quest hasn't quite been developed that far yet, I couldn't base my assumption on what she looks like once we do meet her. I'm excited to meet her though, since it would be pretty conclusive as to what exactly does or does not constitute a dragon in the setting.

Dragon-morph TF has been repeatedly stated by Savin to be a late-game thing.

I can't believe I'm going to necro my own thread, but I just realized that it was stated earlier here that the champ could get a dragon-morph TF, and not a TF to become an actual dragon. After seeing all the dragon lore and content from both A Teatime For Dragons, as well as the lore gained from chasing down our least favorite demon queen in The Demon of Ice, it's a little sad that the TF is only a morph. It makes sense from a writing standpoint so don't get me wrong I totally understand why its a morph, and I also assume Azy and Evelyn don't actually become full dragons by getting the spear.

But it would've been cool if there had been a sorta permanent TF akin to fluff and valkyrie, where the champ actually became a dragon. But with their bipedal forms being sorta adopted to 'fit' in with society, I can absolutely see why a full dragon TF won't ever happen, especially since they can still go big lizard whenever they want to, but a girl can dream I suppose.

On a question about dragons in general though. I know the world of Savarra is massive, but seeing as the dragon morph will come from that crystalized dragon blood thing, and not obtained as a gift or something like that from a dragon, is there then truly no dragons left in Savarra? It's alluded to in TDoI that our beautiful bailiff doesn't believe there's any dragons left alive, but her thinking is sorta shifted after seeing the memory crystal. And seeing as we met Ashe, it's obviously clear that there's at least potential for them to still be alive, but Ashe was only kept alive because of the spear working as magical life support. So it does make me wonder if full dragons actually still exist, or if they've permanently been removed from the census of Savarra.
