Question re: Verusha and slavery

So, I love Verusha, and was vaguely considering trying to write something for her, when I noticed something on her wiki page; namely, she apparently storms out if you get her to take you back to your ship and you've got a slave on board. I never had this happen, despite being fucked senseless by Verusha on an old save that had both Sera and Reaha on board, but I didn't really question it because it made total sense; given her backstory, Verusha has even more reason than your average non-sociopath to despise slavery and slavers.

But a question that just twigged tonight is this: if Verusha is so utterly infuriated by slavers (as she should be) that she won't even brutally pseudo-rape a slaver PC... why does she spent 90% of her time hanging out in a bar owned and run by a slaver, and tended by a slave who the PC can rape into a broken fucktoy before he's sold on, all presumably right in front of her?

Possible answers:
  1. It's the only place to get a drink within walking distance of Verusha's team's ship, and she's willing to swallow her scruples to swallow some booze. Still probably ought to have a dialogue option about it, and maybe a Del interaction.
  2. She's there for a specific reason that will tie into Shekka's old dialogue about the Mess being some kind of slave trade front. I don't really see Verusha as the anti-slaving vigilante type, much less the undercover investigator type, but I could be wrong.
  3. It's cyborg hyenagirl dom porn and I should really just relax.
  4. I missed something completely.

The Sera and Reaha scenes were cut from her content by Doots before she was implemented.

As for an answer, it's mostly 3.

It's definitely the number 3.

And I can bet you she'd love to stick it up to Carver, but knows that's not the wise thing to do. She'd need to destroy Carver's empire in order to actually achieve anything meaningful, and she can't do that alone and the backing from her company is not there for the anti Carver campaign

Maybe we can give her a hand, then!

Huh. Thanks! So would you say Verusha is an "active" anti-slavery person, someone who'd deliberately go out of her way to fuck up slavers with no extra incentive? I kind of read her as a more "reactive" anti-slaver, the kind of person who would refuse a job guarding indentured sapients, or who would prioritize a job that involved shooting pirate slavers, or who would punch out a slaver who happened to cross paths with her... but who wouldn't actively spend her days off seeking out collars to break and slavers to shove out of airlocks or even donating to anti-slavery campaigns.

I would say reactive. She'll fuck up slavers given the chance but she won't actively go out of her way to find some slavers. that's partially the reason why she joined the merc company she's with now.
