At the moment who can have a child with the PC? At the moment I'd really to have one with Anno, Reaha, and Penny. Are there plans to implement this? Also will there be things like marriage and siring heirs being discussed? Finally is there plans for future followers and party members? Thank you.

Pregnancy content for persistent NPCs is a pain in the arse for a number of reasons. You need to have a passion for it to make it happen, and none of the current key writers do.


It's a subject that comes up a lot. We could do with a story content FAQ, so we can at least go "READ THIS" instead of endlessly parroting ourselves.

If the daycare has a good chance of NOT getting supported or barely going to get support, then I would ask why is it going to be put in, besides the whining for it. Cause I get the feeling like it's just going to house the current preg's and then nothing more after that. Like Nonesuch said, there most likely won't be any preg content/support because none of the writers aren't into it enough to write content for it.

About constant pregnancy :


She may simply have the same system as some plants that don't do self-fertilization (fertilization of an ovum by a male gamete from the same individual), ie the pollen/spermatozoid can penetrate the ovum only if it doesn't express the plant's own genetic markers on their surface (if it does express those markers, it is captured by receptors that recognize the plant's own genetic markers and then degraded by enzyms).


And/or there may be genetic incompatibility between male and female gametes of the same individual, causing the egg produced via self-fertilization to die at a very early stage (Renvra wouldn't even notice).


And/Or the eggs and sperm may not share the same hole /chamber/canal at the time the eggs are ready to be fertilized.


Or a combination of all 3.


Believe me, compared to some things that happened on Earth, a functional, fertile, non-self-fertilizing alien hermaphrodite is tame.

Heh conclusion so far from thread is...for some people quite grim one: seems IF nursery EVER get ingame it would be only as long PC fill it with his/her childs personaly born by any means. Since Jim was mostly meantioned as the one who probably was about to most contribute to adding nursery I wonder who got now this (un)grateful duty of writing for it...unless recent events made nursery another option that was sounding cool at the paper but in the end turns out to be something unworth to waste energy to implement it?
