Overseer Maike's dialogue tree is kinda butchered in the code, causing the wrong bits of dialogue to play after choosing certain "Bluff" options. If you choose "It Broke" or "Pens" options, the code doesn't branch properly, causing her response to not acknowledge that you claimed to be wearing a collar previously. I was picking around the publicly available source code, and after seeing the error, tested it in the most recent version. The bug is still there.
To explain: After selecting [Bluff], the PC is presented with 3 options: [It Broke], [Unprocessed], and [Pens]. One of the issues is that [It Broke] is separate from the other two options. By picking it, it plays dialogue of Maike collaring the PC and giving them the spacesuit helmet. However, [Unprocessed] and [Pens] first go into a sex scene, which changes to the dialogue after the sex scene based on which option you picked. However, because [It Broke] is not connected to the after sex scene dialogue, it does not have a check in its dialogue.
Related to the above, it looks like the check for [It Broke] might have also supposed to have a check for [Pens] but doesn't. Based on the change to the dialogue, I suspect this is the case.
This is the dialogue in question that will eventually play after picking [It Broke]:
This is a similar section of dialogue after selection [Processed] or [Pens], with the check for [It Broke]:
TL,DR: When selecting [It Broke], Maike does not acknowledge the player bluffing about previously wearing a collar, despite there being a check in the code to do so.
P.S.: After selecting [Pens], Maike throws the player into the slave pens and locks the door; this is the same tile where the [Free Slaves] option is, so I would guess this is the same door that you need Maike's keycard to open. However, the player is not trapped in the pens and can just leave the tile. I know there is no content involving the player stuck in the pens at this time (and the old reason, skipping the spacewalk by sneaking in/the shortcut to Ardia, has changed how to get there slightly), but it's awkward that you are taken to the pens and locked in, then you are suddenly out of the pens and gained the spacesuit helmet despite it not coming up in the dialogue at all after selecting [Pens} when bluffing.

“Curiosity killed the [pc.race], or at least tried to. It never gets old, you know? Every silly creature with ideas like ‘freedom’ and ‘not being a slave’, eugh. I get it, fine, deal with it, just do the job and it’ll be over with,” she quips while pushing your crumpled up form around with her foot.
“If you’re curious enough to fiddle with this kind of reinforcement tech then I’m just going to have to remain unconvinced at your mental ability.”
Your blood pumps louder than her voice, the inane monologue being nothing but a stab at your mind while the collar stabs at your body.
“Time’s a-wasting,” sighs the Overseer as she fiddles with her command rod. The full-body paralysis ends and you immediately fall on your elbows. Your head throbs as if it’s ready to burst with your blood and everything else is awash with sensitivity. Even the very fabric of your clothes weighs heavily against you.

[It Broke Check] "Oh stop curling up like that, you’ve already had a collar on, remember? Or was that a teensy lie on your part? Suppose it doesn’t even matter now."
"That’s enough from you,” sighs the Overseer as she fiddles with her command rod. The full-body paralysis ends and you immediately fall on your elbows.
