Hello, enjoying CoC2 a ton, enjoyed a thief for a long time but the temple summons and quest summons made me want to try out a summoning black mage prioritizing presence over the other 2 mage stats, picking human/scion as well for the additional points, and maybe leadership gear when available. However, I'm curious about the stat caps, I know development is in constant flux right now, ie resistances were capped but now work differently and go much higher. The wiki, which is undergoing a overhaul and I know should be taken with a grain of salt, states on it's generic summons page "It should be noted that Leadership is computed as 2 * Presence + any other Leadership increasing effects, however, it will only reach a maximum of 100". I was just curious if prioritizing presence would still increase power of summons and party members to the planned level cap of 10, which would be like 32 presence, +extra gear stat bonuses, kind of like how games like Fallout new vegas do with charisma, or if it was mainly a stat for Sexiness and tease damage to really prioritize. Thanks for your time. Just want maximum fun from eating popcorn and throwing demons at people.

Yeah having a metric tonne of Presence does a lot for summons and companions. I'm unsure about the whole cap dynamic at the moment, due in part to things constantly changing - I'm pretty sure the codex in game is also somewhat outdated, due to Savin mentioning this, and the games codex not reflecting it.

To address the prioritization, Presence is overall just a very strong stat to invest in - depending on your companions they'll benefit massively from it as well as your summons. And yes, your tease attacks / sexiness will also benefit from it.

Thus, Presence can be said to have no real downsides - offering a lot in the way of leadership, and sexiness / tease attacks - meaning that there is no-real difference in the ways of prioritization - aside from just making sure your armor / weapons additionally have sexiness or temptation stats if you were wanting a resolve damage build.

The only probable downside of investing in Presence instead of another stat one could mention would be potentially doing less damage yourself - but in a party based game that is not so much of a downside due to Presence boosting your companions / summons to compensate (not to mention any potential resolve damage based builds).
