Pregnancy Save Editing

I ran into an issue with an unexpected Bothriotic pregnancy that I tried to get rid of via the Save Editor. I've gotten fairly adept at using it so far, and this seemed to be straightforward enough, but then the pregnancy came back. I tried again, cleared out the pregnancy status flags, and even cleared out every Bothriotic-related flag as well. It still came back. I eventually gave up, erased the character, and started over. But I'd love to know what I was missing in the editor.

In the meantime, if I edit in the Infertile perk (temporarily, until I'm out of "enemy territory" for the time being), will that work as a contraceptive method for my next character?

Well you can not lose fights or use the egg trainer to fill your holes so no other eggs can be put in there.

I believe it happened when I was clicking too fast and right after clicking the Victory button (#1), that then becomes the Ride Him button.

I think the Infertile perk will protect me, but the Wiki seemed a bit vague on whether it would work against egg-laying creatures.

Well you can edit in infertility and give it a whirl.

From further wiki research I think the Sterile perk should do the trick - "There’s no way anyone or anything could get you pregnant."

From a roleplay perspective, I'll think of this perk like a cybernetic implant - Norplant on steroids - as I can turn it on and off at will.
