Hmm just saying but this game should have one of the worst gameplay that I have ever played.

I like the art, but the gameplay is so bad, changing weapon within the battle is very boring and repetitive, the combat "itself" is the rpg maker one, dying because I touched water or many other elements is bullshit... to tell you the truth the "dark souls" feeling that you wanted to apply... it just plainly fails and makes the game annoying, VERY annoying.

There are multiple ways to make a monster girl game that is quite interesting, this is just annoying and forgive me for repeating that word but the mechanics seems to exist just to annoy the player.

Things that should be deleted:

-Needing to use wait so that you can attack or use skills
-The equipment change system within combat
-Dying when you touch certain places
-Attribute system for monsters

Those 4 things are hellish, and in fact if you could increase the movement speed of the MC it would be better.

SIgh I feel conflicted because I love your art but I don't like anything else about the game you are making.

As this is our first rpgmaker game we made and will be finished in this month sorry if what we make is not to your taste.
We can fix the running speed as currently dashing by pressing SHIFT key is not the way people usually goes.
But for the battle system and so on we will experiment more in the next game.
You can suggest and vote at our patreon page with discord channel soon for the many system we will implement in the part 2 of the game if there is better solution.

There is also freebies of artbook and sketchbook if you'd like of course :D

Thank you for your advice,

Hope this will make our games better.

Rather than not being to my taste it's just that the gameplay isn't good from a player perspective, I get that you tried to make it more complex and experimented with it, but you should always see things from the player's perspective.

For example making people change weapons to match the enemy "weakness" isn't a good mechanic, this is because it's repetitive and it doesn't truly add anything valuable for the player.

It's just things like that, as I said I love the art aspect of the game and the "angel entrance" of the encyclopedia that you showed us, all of that it's very well done.

ah, thanks for confirming the misunderstanding.
Maybe you can give some samples for references what kind of game you'd expect from us or maybe something that will make our next game better.

as we're just done finish the ending and currently baking our second part of the main world.

Let's see... a game like what you have seems to need a gameplay like Monster girl quest, perhaps more advanced if you could.

Basically like that for the combat seems perfect, a game in which you may need to "struggle" when binded by the enemy, but well it depends on exactly what you want to do, with the monster girls genre it seems that the most usual ones are the battle-fuck types, in which the enemy rather than "attacking us" use sexual attacks.

It may be good that you try monster girl quest, ROBF (just write ROBF dlsite and you will find it easily on google), that type of combat seems the best for monster girl games. Be aware that this is just a recommendation, everything depends on what you want/can do, I think that the optimal thing would be that type with animation but this is just my comment.

However I would say that people seem to like a lot more sex related interactions with animation rather than without it.

This is a common mistake made by amateur game makers. They confuse "more stuff" with "depth", or sometimes "grind" with "content". You get the feeling that they don't actually PLAY their own games (or if they do they're only on the lookout for bugs and aren't trying to experience it from the POV of a player), or else they'd realise that a lot of what they're doing just isn't, well, fun. SuperPowered is one of the worst examples I can think of- the balance in the game is an absolute farce, with most of the gameplay mechanics being needlessly frustrating just to make you "work" harder at making progress, and a lot of the systems are just utterly pointless because they're so inefficient (like, why would you spend time asking a girl out for coffee to raise your affection with her when it's easier just to spam the "Text" and "Flirt" options once you have her phone number?).

I haven't played this game (yet; I downloaded it but haven't gotten around to it yet) but it would probably be a good idea to not overcomplicate the gameplay. Despite what you might think, people don't play porn RPGs because they want a really deep, complicated RPG experience- they play them because they want to fap (or schlick). And a good RPG is really, really hard to make. A simple RPG is (comparatively) easy to make, so it's better to do that and focus on the story content and the porn if you want to make your game stand out. Otherwise you may end up with the other thing that's easy to make- a bad RPG.

Just updated with a little inputs, but for ROBF like gameplay itself we may try in the next game as we still don't have animator.
The seduction inside battle will be triggered with hp% and chance for now.

The game itself is kinda simple I think, just need to get weapon/grind levels, defeat boss, and go to the ending.
Though we updated with cutscenes and more hint in the newer version.
We need a writer to make this game better or I need learn more on how to write...
*that quite a weakness as what I know is quoting from other anime or game here and there

Managed to make it as far as the fourth major boss in the First-Half Beta (I'm helping out to promote and test the game), and so far it went about as smoothly as could go. There's a good deal of challenge appropriate to what would be expected in a Dark Souls parody, and I'd say there's enough of a story to justify why the protagonist is around and doing the things he does; always room for improvement, of course. Worth a shot to play, and high hopes as for future development.

Synopsis of positive points:
+ Girls! Girls! Girls!
+ Dark Souls, but turn based.
+ Plenty of map-space to roam and face foes.
+ Variety of moves and playstyles available

This game is a tragic combination of fantastic assets coupled with completely nails-on-chalkboard gameplay. To save yourselves some pain, do this: after starting the game, walk onto the magic circle near the Lustkeeper (after tutorial) and go to the top-left corner in the weird mansion place. You'll be able to access (most?) of the sex scenes there and skip the gameplay, though you probably miss out on some other stuff doing it like this. I don't advise actually trying to progress through the game naturally. Keep reading for a more detailed review...

The game is heavily Dark Souls 2 inspired, even containing a Majula-like hub area and Dark Souls easter-eggs like the pig(s) that can kick your ass. It tries to emulate a lot of what Dark Souls does; unforgiving gameplay, enemies that you may not be able to kill until you have the right spells / items, and tons of hazards in every stage. What makes it unpleasant is that you can just walk to your death at any moment by steeping onto a river, a hole, or a cliff in the dark... torches don't actually work, so areas with darkness are going to murder you about three-dozen times before you learn them by trial and error. That's not an exaggeration, either.

I did mention the art, assets and sex are all top-notch. It's kind of like Monster Girl Quest except the art in Siluman is markedly better and that's an achievement. But here's the problem: any time you have sex, you lose your balls. You also lose your balls any time you die for any reason. That's mitigated by using a 'Golden Balls' item to restore your balls at Lustfires (bonfires) but nevertheless adds nothing but tedium to the game. You can run out of balls and they're expensive to buy. You start out with a few pairs, but the gameplay is crippling and holds back the game itself, as you cannot avoid dying and you will not have the 'sex credits' to actually enjoy the sex-scenes if you are playing without cheating or skipping the game.

The combat is bad because it works on a rock-paper-scissors mechanic. Just like in Dark Souls... we have Sorceries, Pyromancies and Miracles. I didn't recall finding any Hexes but that's fine. You can also use archery or melee damage. But, here's the thing: there are a LOT of enemies immune to multiple types of damage, and it takes some time and hard work to actually have access to all damage types. That means some enemies you run into can't be defeated, and some of these you can't run from either: you can lose all your 'sex-credits' (balls) for no reason other than that you were caught in the long early-game by a monster immune to your damage. And there's a lot of these monsters!

But here's the worst thing: the 'golden balls', your hentai credits, whatever you want to call them... the whole dynamic of losing them if you're bad at the game can be completely mitigated by just one flaw in the game's design: you can save-scum! Just save often, reload any time you die / lose balls and then try again. All you lose then is time. This seems to be the best way to play, saving-up your balls and save-scumming them all the way until you're at a place you want to spend all your sex-credits. You're not going to enjoy this part for more than about ten minutes though, whereas you'll work hours just to get there.

Basically... the game tries to use Dark Souls mechanics, plus the general harsh gameplay style of the franchise, but it becomes a needlessly tedious rock-paper-scissors RPG where you will needlessly die many times to reach a comparatively (very) small and short-lived reward. But, the game does have potential, and the art plus the girls themselves are all great.

Overall: 4.5/10, performs poorer than similar RPG-maker porn games despite employing fantastic assets (art, scenes, writing)

Siluman: You need to rebalance this game. Here's some suggestions-
+ Remove immunity from most of the game's enemies so they can be fought, like the ghost skulls.
+ Don't remove the player's balls when they fall off cliffs / drown in water.
+ Make the torches work! The Black Slit is needlessly painful.
+ Don't let players access that magic mansion thing with all the h-scenes until they've beaten the game.
+ Make golden balls in the Lustkeeper's shop cheaper...

Side note, it's basically impossible to make single action one-on-one turn based battles interesting. There's no dexterity or timing skills involved since it's turn based, so the only interest can come from the tactical elements of the game. Since it's single action, combat has no tactical elements and is very easily solvable. This is a huge problem for many RPG sex games, including the games by the forum creator. The easiest ways to avoid this issue are to add party combat or to add multiple actions per turn to both the player and the enemies. Example for the later case, I have three action points to spend on attacks and utility skills like increasing agility or defending. If I'm in a tight spot, I can spend 1 action defending and 2 actions on using a healing skill/item twice. As opposed to spending four turns in a row healing over and over again in the hopes that my enemy misses enough times that I can start attacking again, while the defend action is never used whatsoever.

Thank you for the input Silas :D
- We just re-balance some things but the immunity is not removed for some enemy for now.
We may add them later with some major patch for NG+
- Hmm, that is interesting one.
We are removing the balls system and make romancing system for allies like MGQ
The battlefuck still too hard for now and we may add them in MV.
- Torches are working now but do tell if that is not enough.
- Will reconsider the gallery access next update.
- That is one thing that will not budge! those are golds after all XD

Thanks TheDarkMaster ;)
We will have the party system soon in the sequel.
For the points system actually we have tried it but dunno why it created more bugs so we removed it(like attacking 10 times a turn when the speed is 20 when the enemy is 15)
But will try some things before alpha release

Thank you for all your inputs!
We will try to make them worth in the next game!
