You all are underselling both Anno and Cait and how they're written, I think. Yes, if you look at the surface they're both bubbly large-breasted human-animal hybrids with estranged sisters and an aversion to monogamy - but that's only surface detail.

Anno is a smart and resourceful tom-boy who's already in a long-term relationship when you first meet her. It's never really explained why despite being in a committed relationship with at least two people she still finds time to pickup people at the local bar, but it doesn't really have to make sense because this is the future and Steele is fucking people left-right-and-center without repercussion. She's a fun character designed to facilitate a closer relationship for Steele with her sister Syri (RIP SyrixAnno) and as a convenient representative for SteeleTech.

We obviously know a lot less about Cait because she hasn't been fully fleshed out yet, but what we do know is interesting. Unlike Anno, Cait has a good in-universe reason to not peruse a monogamous relationship with the player character (or for that matter anyone else). She's a priestess of a sex cult that worships the god of love, and part of her duties is to have lots of sex as part of the cult's rituals. To get into a relationship with any one person would be to abandon her priest-hood and maybe her belief itself. Now, why is that important? Well unlike TiTS, CoC2 takes place in the post-Roman Dark Age of a fictional world. There's going to be a lot of superstitious and uneducated people and people who may believe in the sanctity of marriage, people who believe in other gods. It's likely a far less kind and understanding place, so to properly explain why people would tolerate a (for lack of a better word) slut you make her part of a power structure that people could understand. To the commoner she's not a slut she's a lay-priestess of Mallach, and you better not think ill of her if you prefer to live without crabs.

I'm looking forward to see how Cait and the other companions in CoC2 develop.

slight issue with your argument there , in the world of CoC2 theres magic ,gods do in fact reside in said world and the fact that your putting real world traits on to a fictional one(like superstition), also cait's mother may have gotten married to her father for all we know as we do not know the religions rules as of yet, an finally there both porn games why are you taking this so seriously and also just about everyone on the forum (thats been here a while anyway) just accepted anno as a slut as her character developed and nobody has cared until now.

Hmm, not sure I understand your argument. Just because there's magic and gods in this fictional world doesn't mean that a character can't be portrayed in a consistent and logical way in regards to said world. You may only view these games as a way to get from sex scene to sex scene and that's alright, but some of us really do appreciate a well-written character.

When I saw party sex I thought something else, but after reading the first post I was right thinking that you could go around with a rape gang and Fuck shit up both litterally and figuratively.

I wonder how that will go in practical terms. Will the writers have to account for every party combination when writing a scene? Are the uninvolved party members just gonna stand there being a voyeuristic third wheel or are they "going for a walk" while the deeds are being done? What about intimate scenes, like Calla's facesitting fishing or Sheila's camping? Those scenes would be definitely be ruined if the PC had a gang tagging along with them.

I'm not trying to be facetious or snarky here btw, I'm legit wondering.

It's basically a question of wrangling us all together and setting out very specific aims and goals with specific scenarios. Thing is, until we actually get fleshed out ideas of who we're writing, it's a little far off atm and too broad to say anything definitive on.

It's all up to the writers. If it's an intimate scene it could open with just you following whoever. We have companion parsers and a companion tag system so you can write a variation that can be filled by multiple companions. Reserved conpanions will probably always just be on lookers, while others may want to partake. The scale and effort put into party support is up to the writers, but the groundwork is all there to support it.

If we could rally companion authors to give a short form kink list and likely behaviors, smut scene writers could be a little more specific.

It'd be nice to have a companion wiki page list personality traits and kinks all in one quick reference table.

The problem here is that quite a few companions are mostly conceptual or only lightly fleshed out so there's not much to collate.

Totally, it's more a hope for the future to have a nice groundwork set up that can help writers stay semi-consistent in tone, if they want to.

Love it. When you've got it set up I'd love to read how it flows; I'm still learning and it'll be nice not to have to reinvent a wheel only to find out it's got square edges.
