You know NymFoe? Badgers sex bot you meet in the badger den when doing the pexiga quest? well to fix it you need 6 sexbot vi chips. no problem, just go to the metal forest and get some, its a 50/50 chance each encounter. unless of course you complete Colenso's quest removing sexbots from appearing. making it impossible to fix the silicone sex droid. An oversite that i would like to see addressed.

Couldn’t you just go back to the factory and re-enable the encounters?

If Steele has access to the factory, I'd think it would be possible to just grab the VI chips directly.
Resetting the encounters works, though.

Perhaps it depends on the way quest was resolved, but there's nothing to interact with in the factory after Hand So is dealt with, in JS game port. So re-enabling encounters might be impossible.
