So I turned on the tis the season cheat to check out myrnas bust, and I got an invite to a Christmas party on New Texas. But when I got there, no such party could be found. Assistance, pls?

The only X-mas related thing that I recall for NT was Canada, the turkey cow girl. If something new was added, have you tried talking to everyone? Governor Tee, Zeph, Ellie, Cameron, all the people at the bar, the Ten-Ton Gym or the Barn might have something...

He should send you an email, then you have to sleep. It will trigger a combat encounter, so be warned if you sleep without collecting your gear from NT you'll be fighting gear-less 
The way it's coded it should trigger once per "holiday period", meaning if the game recognizes that it is christmas and the event has proc'd, it won't be able to proc again until the game recognizes that it isn't christmas and then it becomes christmas again.
