I remember reading the expansion gdoc on sera's enslavement sometime last year and I recall one of the options is you can simply pay off Sera's debt yourself if you were so willing. I'm guessing that did not make the cut for some reason?

You mean in Sera sub/slave path to py all the debt she own to slave merchants? Or some other one case of paying the debt?

I mean just pay off her debt then and there to her creditors or the slave merchants or whatever without putting her into enslavement.

You can pay off her debt by submitting to her.

You can always ask @Nonesuch for White Knight cucking yourself into paying off her debts though. Financial submission!

I remember that too. I think it involved her laughing at you for being a white knight. I wonder why @Nonesuch didn't include it?

Essentially: Because it was one of a few non-important things that fell by the wayside in my push to get the project finished.

It's also one of those things which, idk, left a weird taste in my mouth. It'd be kind of fun for Sera to tease you about it, on the other hand character-wise I think she'd slightly resent you for it. I don't really like events where PCs can just mash their bank balance into problems and solve them, as much as that's exactly how a CEO's brat would get through life. Just in purely mechanical RPG terms, it means the problem becomes more and more inconsequential the longer the game goes on.

I can attest to how bland a solution like that feels in any game that doesn't go out of its way to really limit PC's resources and put some weight behind every bit they spend. E.g., if TiTS were true to what an experience of an average in-universe planet rusher seems to be like, spending money on waifus might have felt better. Still worse than getting through a really well constructed and involved resolution path, but better than what we have on some NPCs.
I was actually hoping that Sera would be into FinDom, but I guess not.
