so i've been playing via chrome browser. i can't figure out how to download the game, open said download, or mod the game with the images. help me! i love this game and would love to have pictures to go with it!

In the play tab, right click and save the link that says Download (Right-click, Save-as).
Right click the download and open with chrome browser.
To use images, save them in a folder called img in the same location as the downloaded game.

on what do i save the images? the github doesn't allow me to download the codes, but i can copy and paste. do i just toss them on a notepad or something?
Are you talking about the images.xml file on github? If you are, don't worry about that. CoC has one built in. You don't need to download it separately.
so there is only the 8bit like pictures in the bottom? i was hoping for art similar to your profile picture

You can create your own folder called img in the same location as the CoC.swf file to add images to.
Or copy and paste the img folder in the above mentioned image pack.
