Narc's quest

These are apparently the steps to do it:
1. Try to have SEG with her to see that something is not right
2. spam Wander in the Dhaal brothel until you found a case for Narc missing part then give it to her
3. after trying new toy, defeat gob cyborg around the south of dhaal until you get a datachip to give it to Narc
4. Fun time

I can't find her quest item in the brothel. I've been spamming wander in there for 3 days now and still nothing. I've tried doing it both drunk and sober. Am I doing something wrong or is it bugged?

Just keep doing it, it took me 5 days and no drunkenness was needed. And you should probably change Hotel to Brothel, or you'll have people mucking about in the capsule resort. Now the quest is over the question I am asking myself now is "What does the colorful sucker do?" I have taken it, but I can't tell exactly what it did.

5 in game days. Wander, rest 12 hours, do it again. Came good on the 10th try.

Is there any way one can tell if you've gotten the data chip from the cyborg? I've been hunting the cyborg for a while now, and either I'm getting the same situation I had with the Hammer Shield belts that one time, or I already acquired it but missed the whole procedure.

It's easy to miss if you got it because the initial indication is a single, short sentence after the fight.

Check your key items. It should be at the very bottom of the list if you have it.

This thread is a year old, but has anyone been able to find the bit where you give Narc a dongle, or has that just not been written in yet?
