More characters should use/require items.

I sometimes come back to the game to see how it's coming along and while it's nice to have such varied characters, something always sticks out about my experience with the game each time:

I have all these items, but very few uses for them. This is true for both TITS and COC2.

The characters I can change are the ones I like the most. For a universe that has such pervasive choices for altering one's self - shouldn't a lot of this game revolve around characters either standing firm or being willing to change themselves or be changed?

There's tons of items in the game with extensive bits of text, but very few characters that actually make use of them.

I think this should be something contributors should be considering going forward - of the many characters already in the game, which ones would change themselves, be changed, or change the player based upon the player's actions in game? How can the player use the items they've collected?

It's not going to happen. There are already well over 100 characters in the game, most with at least 4 scenes. Even if we take 20 characters, that's 80 scenes the devs would have to rewrite for every possible transformation you could do.

To me this is the tradeoff between CoC1 and TiTS + CoC2 - the newer games have much better writing, but the writers are only able to write so well because they severely restrict player choice. On the other hand in CoC1 you have so much choice - naga, taur, goo, whatever, you can transform half your companions into female/futa/dude, corrupt them or enslave them, but consequentially you have much shorter sex scenes where you have to use your imagination to fill in the blanks.

No not really. A very low percentage of our player base turns out to have a TF fetish and also almost none of the writers other than Fen sooooooo not really any motivation on either side of the screen to delve too deeply into TFs.

Correlation is not causation. Just because a writer got carried away* writing descriptive text for an item doesn't mean the item in question is underutilized.

*I don't mean this in a negative manner.

Thank God for that, stuff in stuff has always been my pet peeve - content gets added sideways not linearly. Having a million custom paths or adding content to existing content is nice for fleshing stuff out, (sure I'd like to turn characters into other things) but it also means lazy people like me will utterly miss most of it. I just want to click away and see everything, not dig for the content.
