So recently, I re-watched the following video:
I personally find it pretty good, as it provides a view of modern art that is very different then what people normally thinks how some art that may appear simple and easy to do at first glance are complex and made with talent. It also examined the hatred shown towards this art, and how some of it is much nastier than people might assume at first glance.
I’d recommend looking at Jacob Geller’s other videos; they’re incredible good at looking at the video games as art, rather than as merely entertainment. I understand this video might be a bit alienating, but sometimes he just has a fun time talking about why Dead Space 2 is awesome or a Resident Evil 4 mod. Again, they’re not for everyone, but I hope a few people here gets something out of this video.
