is it just me or is the only outfit that works for mitzi the nun outfit? her bust doesnt actually change into the others for me, just the pink one

This sounds like a similar problem I had where Mitzi only had her Nun outfit in her wardrobe (and so she wouldn't change into anything else).
The problem seemed to be that on a eariler version of the game everytime Mitzi changed her clothes it would delete the last item in her inventory.
That bug no longer happens to my knowledge but on saves which it happened to those clothes are gone forever (unless you cheat).
You might want to check Mitzi's wardrobe to see if she actually has different outfits in there.
I fixed my save by just cheat menuing Mitzi's outfits into my inventory and giving them to her.

nah her wardrobe is full but the only other clothing bust she uses besides the nun is the pink one even if i tell her to wear something different it will be the pink outfit
Some outfits didn't have their busts drawn. In that case the game defaults to the pink dress.
No like... the nun is the only one that works. all of these outfits have busts drawn, they just don't work
That's strange, probably best if you provide a save.
And, on a side note Mitzi's Wardrobe seems to be missing (If those 6 clothes shown on the photo are the only ones she currently has):

EDIT: To wit, there are TWO possible schoolgirl outfits that one can give to Mitzi. One has a bust drawn, as it's an item that only she should use, and the other doesn't have a bust because it's an item Steele can also use.
thank you both. as it turns out, the problem was that she didn't spawn with any of her regular outfits except nun for some reason. cheating them in has worked but its a mystery as to why she only spawned with the nun outfit
If you recruited Mitzi on a game version before [Game Version: 0.69.420-PUBLIC#1890] (Before April 20th, I think) what probably happened is that she probably spawned with a full wardrobe but everytime she changed her outfit she deleted the last item in her inventory until she had nothing left except the outfit she ended up wearing.
Actually, at the start her data wasn't being saved correctly. which ended up tossing the entire wardrobe in one go.
