I didn't find anything like this on the wiki, but in 0.6.92, I've noticed that I just wasn't getting any Pitcher encounters, and this was after I acquired my first Mimbrane. Is this a bug or am I just being incredibly unlucky?
I ask because I just love the Venus Pitcher encounter, but at the same time, find taking care of and feeding the Mimbranes to be interesting, and if I had to pick and choose, I would want to be certain that it was the case.
