There was a game I remember playing a little over a year ago (believe I found it on this forum) where you (the PC) were trapped in a mansion of some sorts. It was mostly text based but there was a map and clickable controls for the PC. There were searchable boxes and traps located throughout the mansion that contained things like potions and clothing. Sometimes the clothing was cursed and to remove it you would have to find an altar and purify it(?) Sorry if this description is vague but I can't for the life of me find the name of this game anywhere. Thanks in advance for the help!

I have an idea for what game you're talking about, but unfortunately I can't remember what my candidate was called either (I think I deleted it). Do you remember any more details about the game- namely, did you play a man, a woman, or was it customisable (the game I'm trying to think of had you as a male PC but with the possibility of being genderbent)? Also was the setting modern day or fantasy world?
It was most likely customisable, I remember playing as a woman at the very least. The setting was fantasy i believe (but not sure.) I do remember some tiles on the map being trapped and forcing you into a crawl or else you inhale some kind of gas. In the first level/floor of the mansion there was a minotaur or some other large best in a cage that you could unlock. Hopefully this helps a bit more.
First area dungeon containing minotaur, next comes the forest then either hotel or mansion.
