You have to find the first probe before you can get to the second probe and so on. You can only get as far as the third probe though since that's as far as the main quest has gotten so far. To unlock the side planets you need to be invited first. Or you could just cheat and use marcopolo but if you do that you'll end up running into enemies that are a higher level than you.
Edit: In case you're wondering where the first probe is it's in the far east portion of the jungle, there's a path branching off from the main that ends in a dead end that is where the probe is located. Warning your cousin will already be there with their guard dog (an Ausar not an actual dog) Dane and depending on which action you pick you'll have to fight him (Dane not your cousin) so you'll have to be prepared otherwise you'll end up with a tentacle dog dick up your ass and you won't be able to retrieve the probe for moneys. Actually the only way to be able to retrieve the probe is to fight Dane and win otherwise your cousin will make off with the probe, no worries though no matter what happens you'll still get the co-ords to the next planet you'll just miss out on a substantial payday.
