The focus of the v0.10 update cycle was on improving the main sex system of the game, with the goal to make it more interactive and dynamic. As a method to help achieve that goal girls are now given a randomly generated list of "opinions" - topics that she feels strongly or negatively about. Opinions will influence how content a girl is with her job, what sex positions she is most turned on by, and what approach to seduction she finds most effective. Learning a girls likes and dislikes is a key step in corrupting them.

A number of other aspects of the sex system have been updated to make it more context dependent. When having sex the object you're using, such as a desk, bed, or floor, will influence how slutty or obedient a girl is feeling. The way you choose to seduce a girl also has an impact. Girls with high obedience react well to being commanded to have sex, while low obedience but high sluttiness characters like it when you offer to pleasure them. As a last addition characters will also now acknowledge when they're having sex in front of other people, and those other people will certainly have something to say about what you're doing.

Finally, there have been a pile of changes throughout the game to improve the general gameplay and UI. The previous floating text whenever a stat was changed has been replaced with a phone-style UI that logs all of the recent messages. The interview screen has been reworked to be consistent with the menu design of the rest of the game and more attractively display important information. Character happiness now tends towards 100 proportional to how far away from 100 it is. The deepthroat position has had large sections added to it and is being used as a proof of concept for all positions.

This update ended up covering so much that I've decided to devote the v0.11 update cycle to adding content to the exiting sex positions, adding completely new positions, and fleshing out unique branches for opinions. I hope you're excited to try the new version, I hope you enjoy it!

* Added multiple approaches when trying to seduce a girl. Obedient girls are more likely to listen to demands, slutty girls are more likely to be swayed by offers of pleasure.
* Added situational modifiers for your approach while having sex.
* Added situational modifiers for what you're having sex on.
* Added option to "find somewhere quiet" or have sex out in the open. If out in the open other characters in the area will comment on it, with their reaction depending on their own sluttiness.
* Girls now respond back when having sex in public and another character comments on it.
* A characters happiness now floats back towards 100 over time. Each day their happiness will float 1 point towards 100 for every 5 points above or below 100 they are.

* Most opinions have minor effects spread throughout the game. Most normal opinions give small boosts or penalties to happiness. Most sex related opinions give boosts to sluttiness or arousal.
* Updated tshirt, long tshirt, tanktop, pencil skirt, and booty short renders to fix poke through issues.
* Expanded deepthroat scene description as proof of concept for future position expansions.
* Arousal now adds 25% of it's value to sluttiness during sex instead of 50%

Discovering a girls likes and dislikes is key to ensuring she is happy in her role in your company as well as finding the best way to corrupt her.

The interview screen shown when hiring new girls has been reworked to display character opinions (if discovered), and the business policy screen has been updated to include a new line of recruitment policies that identify the opinions of potential hires. A girls happiness now trends back towards it's default value and changes more quickly the further away from this score she. Lastly, the deepthroat position has been expanded substantially as a proof of concept for the work to be done on other positions in the next update cycle.

This update ended up covering so much that v0.11 will be devoted to adding content in the form of expanding the existing sex positions and adding new sex positions. While that is being written sections of the game will also be rerendered and the rendering system in general will be improved.

Lab Rats 2 v0.11.0 is readly for it's week of patron bug testing! This update focuses adding a ton of written of written content to all of the sex positions. All of the positions now have a couple of key choices to make and a bunch of separate branches depending on your decisions, a characters stats, and their personal likes and dislikes. The update is rounded out by the addition of a few new clothing items, tweaked arousal gain mechanics, and a couple bug fixes.

The new written content for the update takes each of the existing sex position descriptions and expands upon them massively. The previous descriptions were a mostly linear bit of text spread across 5 or 10 lines. The new descriptions have at least one key decision to make and a bunch of variations and branching paths. A characters sexual likes and dislikes play a key role in how she reacts and what she enjoys the most. The new descriptions represents a ten fold increase in content for sexual encounters!

This update also includes the first pass for makeup rendering in LR2. New options for lipstick, blush, and eye shadow help create new character outfit possibilities. Future updates will make use of the rendering automation work to add in new pieces of makeup. As an added bonus two new clothing items have been added as well: a tube top and an open vest.

Finally, there has been a bunch of minor tweaks, improvements, and bug fixes. The blowjob, deepthroat, and kissing sex positions have been updated to make use of unique facial positions. The arousal characters gain has been made more uniform across all positions, but girls will now be bored by positions they do not consider slutty. Lastly, a bunch of bug fixes correct some crashes and misbehaving events.

This update focuses on expanding the number of returning LR1 characters to three, adding your sister and mother to the game. Both characters come with unique dialogue and personalities, a unique set of likes and dislikes, and a number of new events specific to them.

Beyond the addition of the two returning characters there are a number of other improvements and changes. Two new clothing items, a summer dress and a wide lace choker, have been added to expand the outfit making possibilities. Outfits can now be exported and imported as .xml files, making it much easier to save outfits between games, share them with others, or tweak the default master wardrobe to your tastes. All of the existing sex positions have had unique orgasm descriptions added, and the new "Ahegao" goal rewards you with a sex skill point if you're able to make a girl climax multiple times in a row. Finally, characters now have internal schedules that they try to adhere to. For most characters this replicates the previous behaviour, but your family will make sure they are home in the evening, and future updates will be able to make use of the functionality.

This update expands the number of characters returning from Lab Rats 1 to three, adding your sister and mother to the game world. Both characters come with unique dialogue, personalities, a set of likes and dislikes, and new events specific to them.

Importing and Exporting outfits is easier thanks to the transition to an XML based wardrobe file system. Finally, a half dozen or so major bugs from v0.12.0 have been fixed.

The focus of the v0.13 update cycle was improving the new player experience and general UI feedback throughout Lab Rats 2. A new, optional introduction explains the basic tasks needed to get business running. New tutorial overlays now offer additional information about the various game screens. These explain the outfit designer, the serum designer, the employee hiring screen, and the research screen. The last piece of the UI improvements is the introduction of a flexible tooltip system. Hovering over a menu button or character statistic gives more information on what it is, why it's important, and what can be done to change it.

In addition to the improved UI there are a number of other major changes in this version. A new process for rendering the character images for LR2 has been introduced, and it has both improved the quality of the characters and reduced the overall file size. At the same time two new clothing times have been added - a suit jacket and a sleeveless shirt. A couple of new outfits using these items have been added to the default wardrobe, but you can always add more of your own! Finally, there have been tweaks to the seduction mechanic of the game. There is now a wider range of responses a character can give when you succeed or fail to seduce them, and they are more aware of when you're seducing them in an inappropriate location.

Lab Rats 2 v0.14.0 is finished and ready for a week of bug testing by patrons! This month was a productive one, bringing a ton of new additions and changes to the game. Love, as opposed to general sluttiness or obedience, is now a tracked statistic for characters. Girls who love you are more willing to have sex in private, go out on dates, and otherwise be friendly with you. The UI of the game has been updated to give more feedback to players and to provide more information about choices they are going to make.

Large chunks of new content have also been added. New love based interactions allow you to build a relationship with a girl without corrupting her, or use that trust to corrupt her more quickly. Four new sets of underwear and two new bras have been added to the game along with several new default outfits that make use of them. New events that take place at home have also been added.

v0.14.1 is a major update that introduces a main statistic for girls: love. Love is a measure of a girls individual devotion and relationship with you, as opposed to their general sluttiness or obedience. The higher the love value the more willing a girl is to have a friendly chat, go out on a date, or have sex with you in private. New events and conversation options have been added to give ways to raise a girls love and old events have been modified to make the stat relevant.

In addition to this new mechanic there have been a number of other important changes and improvements. UI improvements continue with new tooltips being added for most actions when their button is hovered. Performance has been improved by removing a highly inefficient drawing method. Girls now have unique, individual houses. These locations are unreachable by default, but can be unlocked by taking the girl on a date and being invited back to her place. Several new events taking place at home have been added. Four new panty sets, two new bras, and a collection of new outfits that make use of them round out the new content in this update.

Lab Rats 2 v0.15.0 is finished and ready for its week of bug testing by patrons. The major change in this update cycle is a refinement of the serum design system. Each serum trait, the building blocks of the mind altering serums your company produces, now has a mastery level associated with it and a chance to generate a side effect. The higher the mastery level of a trait the lower the chance that trait will introduce a side effect if it is included in a serum. Your mastery of a trait can be improved by your R&D department over time or by testing a serum with that trait on someone and spending time with them to observe the effects. The UI surrounding the serum design system has been updated alongside this new gameplay element. Serum effects are now streamlined and in a more easily understood way.

In addition to the new serum mechanics there have been a number of new events written for the game and a class of events that can trigger. Some random events now take place only in the morning at the start of a new day, when you wake up. These events are written to involve your mother or sister. Two new workplace events provide the chance to dramatically increase your mastery over a serum trait or create a serum design not normally possible. New serum traits have also been added, unlocking new serum possibilities. Finally, a new sex position, "cowgirl", has been added and is used for one of the new random events. It is a test of the new code making girl lead sex possible and other positions and options will be included in the future.

Lab Rats 2 v0.15.1 is finished its week of patron bug testing and ready to be released to everyone, absolutely free! Version 0.15.1 brings with it a major overhaul to the serum design system. Each serum trait, the building blocks of the mind altering trait your company produces, now has a chance to generate a side effect. By assigning your R&D division to the task or by testing the serum out on people yourself you can improve your mastery level of a serum trait and reduce the chance it creates a side effect in future serum designs. The serum design UI has been updated to include information about mastery levels and much of other serum related UI has been refined to more conveniently display useful information.

In addition to the new serum mechanics there are a number of new random events and refined old events in the game. New workplace events provide a chance to create serum designs that are normally impossible or to quickly boost your mastery level of a serum trait. At home there are multiple new events that involve your mother and sister, both as loving family members and convenient test subjects.

There's a weird bug, or at least iffy behaviour with some girls' sex scenes in 0.15.1 (and I think I also noticed it in 0.14)

As far I understand game logic, the game adds or subtracts core sluttiness points (yellow hearts) for sex scenes based on a few factors, e.g. family members get a malus to sluttiness, not being alone, using the floor instead of a desk, etc..
However, the opposite can also happen: Some girls (I noticed it with Stephanie first) get an insane boost to sluttiness in some circumstances; If I Seduce her at work (and she is alone), she goes from 1 yellow heart to maxed out yellow hearts just from switching into sex mode. My suspicion is that this is a boost from love, maybe?
The problem is that while this boost makes her a complete slut during the encounter, this "encounter-specific core sluttiness" seems to govern the girl's actual sluttiness gains (as well as her arousal gains) during sex. Which means that with such a maxed out sluttiness, no gains occur anymore outside of, at least for Stephanie, one special case: If I finish by unloading in her mouth (that's her fetish), she always gets a +5 temp sluttiness (which then can be converted to core sluttiness via serums). With other girls, keeping their "encounter-only sluttiness increase" down (e.g. by demanding sex instead of offering, or by having it in public) pushes this sex-scene-only core sluttiness to manageable levels as long as they're relatively uninterested in the PC romantically (low love).
NB: This temporary damper by having other girls around disappears when you "back off and switch positions".

Maybe this is how it's supposed to work - but if it is, it feels really weird and unintuitive - like playing Blackjack with sluttiness (not so low so she doesn't even want to lose her panties, not so high she doesn't even gain sluttiness from piledriving/climaxing any more). I generally like the idea that some factors impact how far they're willing to go, but it seems overtuned - as said, it turns Stephanie from a slightly open-minded girl into a cum-crazy slut just by pushing Seduce.

Lab Rats 2 v0.16 is ready for it's round of patron bug testing! This update cycle had two major components: first, character titles were introduced and integrated with all of the existing dialogue and narration for the game. Second, rendering support and a few initial designs were added for clothing patterns. On top of that there has been a major optimization made for the start up time of the game, new clothing items and a hair style have been added, and a handful of bugs have been tracked down and squashed.

Character titles have replaced all of the direct uses of a characters name in Lab Rats 2. A character title can be thought of as the name you know that person by, or the name you are choosing to call them. For most characters this is the same as their first name, but others may prefer a more formal title such as "Mrs.Girl". As you corrupt a girl there will be more titles she thinks are acceptable for her. Girls also each have a title they use for the main character in a similar way. Your mother might call you "Sweetheart" or "Son", while your employees may call you "Sir", or "Boss". Finally, there are used in narration when talking about a girl in relation to you; "your employee" or "your friend". Character titles are now formatted throughout the game to use the same colour and font as that character's dialogue. While looking through menus or reading through narration it is much easier to remember what character is being talked about.

Rendering support for patterns along an initial test batch has been added to the game. A pattern is a section of an existing piece of clothing that can be drawn as a different colour. Patterns make use of a mask to recolour clothing, which makes them much faster for me to render and a smaller file size when added to the game. Going forward more clothing items will receive pattern variants as a way of increasing the variety in the game without significantly increasing file size. This new functionality called for a redesign of the outfit designer. When selecting a pattern you can now alternate between changing the primary or secondary colour. A colour swatch has also been added to let you store and load colours by right or left clicking on the spaces available. These colours are saved and persistent between games, so you can now match colours for different pieces of clothing or create themed uniforms.

Lastly, the release of the v0.16 update will mark the start of phase 2 of Lab Rats 2 development. Previous updates have been focused on the internal mechanical support for a number of different game mechanics: dynamic outfits, character personalities, goals, etc. Future updates will now focus on introducing new, unique characters and producing a detailed storyline to make use of all of these mechanics and tie the game together. Rendering improvements will also be taking top priority. Facial styles and emotions in particular are going to be reworked completely to achieve better results. New body types/models will also be worked on to widen the variety of base bodies in the game. Lab Rats 2 characters may have a different style than they did in Lab Rats 1, but I want to achieve the same level of quality with them.

- Libido inhibitor side effect no longer adds far more sluttiness than it should.

Version 0.17 is the first update of phase two of development for Lab Rats 2. Phase two is focused on introducing new unique characters, writing story arcs for these characters, and in generating content for existing systems within the game. This update introduces two characters into the game world: Rebecca, your aunt, and Gabrielle, your cousin. When your aunt falls on hard times she turns to you and your family to take her in and give her a chance to get back on her feet. Your loner cousin, dragged along through this ordeal, is less than happy about the arrangement and perfectly willing to make that clear. Both characters have storyline events, locations, and action that can present interesting and effective ways to corrupt them.

Continuing with the theme of producing more content for existing systems, a bunch of clothing items have received new colouring patterns, allowing for more business uniform or character wardrobe customisation. Rendering for a few brand new pieces of clothing has also been done. In total seven new patterns have been added, two clothing items have been re-rendered, a new hair style has been added, and a new piece of underwear has ben added. More rendering is planned for the coming days before the public release of v0.17.

Lastly, there have been a handful of changes and improvements that don't fall into any broad category. Tooltips have been added to a number of actions to better explain them. A new personality type has been written to expand the variation in dialogue throughout the game. The way sluttiness is increased has been tweaked to make it possible, though slow, to corrupt a girl without any use of your mind altering serum. The changes also make sluttiness increases more consistent and less dependent on serum in general. And finally, across the entire game there have been bug fixes.

LR2 v0.17.1 marks the beginning of phase two of development. Internally new systems have been added to allow for events to take place when you enter a location or begin talking to the person, both of which are already in use with some new events. Tooltips have been added in some places, the map screen has been tidied up, and new personality type has been added.

This new version of the game comes with a hefty change log with progress along three major fronts. First, several rendering and display changes have been implemented, improving character image quality. Second, menu details and functionality has been refined in key areas. Third, new content has been added throughout the game, including the reintroduction of the Lab Rats 1 character Alexia. Overall, the game continues to expand and improve!

Changes to the way character bodies are rendered has eliminated gaps found between the head and neck of characters, and way those body images are then processed has removed any visible edges when body and head images are combined. Overall this produces a marked improvement in character body images. Character hairstyles have been reviewed and tweaked to correct any differences in contrast or brightness. These changes are part of an ongoing effort to improve the characters displayed in Lab Rats 2.

Menu functionality and gameplay feedback have been focused on this update. The changes made seek to better inform the player about the results of their actions and to display information more reliably to the player. The list of sex positions, for example, now highlights the different effects that position is likely to have on the girl and whether or not she will find it exciting or boring. While at work the player will receive reports of how much research they produced, serum supplies they bought, and so on. Tooltips have been added for the basic work actions that explain what stats are important for them, and actions that were not useful, such as examining a room to see what objects were in it, have been trimmed from the game.

The last major class of additions come in form of content updates. Likely the most interesting is the reintroduction of Alexia from Lab Rats 1. Alexia comes back into your life following a year of travel to find herself. Her reintroduction prompted the addition of girls already in relationships of various types. These relationships can adjust how a girl reacts to your advances and her own corruption. Some are more willing to cheat on their partners with you than others, and some are even turned on by the idea. Another major section of content is the addition of condom requests and descriptions while having sex. Some girls may ask or demand you put on a condom before having sex. Others, particularly as they become more slutty, will specifically ask you don't use one.

This new version comes with a hefty change log, with progress along three major fronts. I'm excited to release this update to patrons for it's week of bug testing! v0.19.0 includes changes for three major areas: A rework of the central menu system, new clothing items, and the addition of new story content.
The new story content reintroduces Nora from Lab Rats 1 as well as provides a large amount of content for Alexia, who was reintroduced last update. Nora's introductory content focuses on providing an alternate path for your serum research and lays the groundwork for future interactions. Alexia's new content adds a unique path for corruption once she is working for you. A collection of new clothing items have been added to the game including new socks, new shoes, and an evening dress. New default outfits have been added to make use of some of these items.

The update also includes a complete rework of the central menu system. The goal of this rework was to reduce the number of clicks needed to perform actions as well as increase the number of options visible to the player. Talking to people, taking special actions, and noticing when new actions become available are now all much easier to do.

After a week of bug testing by patrons I am excited to release v0.19.1 to the general public. This update includes a whole pile of new content as well as vast improvements to the central menu systems. Included in the new content is the introduction of Nora from Lab Rats 1. Her introduction completes the original cast and brings the total number of unique characters to seven, in addition to the near-infinite number of randomly generated characters!

Aside from the introduction of Nora there are several other major pieces of new content added in v0.19.1. Alexia's personal storyline has received a significant expansion, providing you with a unique way to corrupt her as well at the same time boosting profits for your pharmaceutical business. The clothing system, which allows you to dynamically dress up or strip down characters one piece of clothing at a time, has had multiple new items added. These include two new blouses, socks of various lengths, and two new types of knee high boots. A handful of new default underwear and overwear sets have been added to the game to show off these new items. I hope these will be useful when creating new uniforms for your employees or making outfits for your favourite girls!

This update also includes major improvements to the central menu system of the game. The redesign condenses all of the information that was previously hidden in three different sub-menus into a single screen. This reduces the number of clicks needed to accomplish a task. It is also now much easier to notice when new actions are enabled or when new characters enter the area. The outfit manager has also been improved, making it easier to create new outfit designs. It is now possible to delete, export, modify, or duplicate existing outfits as well as create new overwear sets, underwear sets, or full outfits all from the same screen.

This update adds new content in three main areas. First, Nora's storyline has been greatly extended. If you work with her to advance your research you can unlock unique, powerful serum traits not normally available to your R&D division. Her research requires you to corrupt other girls and study them to better understand how her own invention operates. Next, Gabrielle's storyline has been expanded with several large new story events. Finally, a new location and several random exploration events have been added to the hub location of the game. This new location, a gentleman's club, offers a place to relax, watch a show, and unwind after a long day at work.

Outside of the brand new content there have been a number of other important changes and improvements. Performance has been a large focus for this update. A major memory leak has been plugged and a number of settings have been optimized to reduce gameplay memory usage and save file size. A whole host of bugs, big and small, have also been fixed! A new company role has been created and makes use of content written for Alexia last update. If you don't run into Alexia, or don't wish to hire her, you can now make use of one of your other girls in the company to model for your company. The more scantily clad and promiscuous she is the more money your ads will be able to generate.

I'm happy to release v0.20.1 to everyone now that it's had it's week of bug testing! This update adds new story content to two of the special characters in the game and opens up a new role that had previously been limited to a single special character. Nora, your old lab director and current research collaborator, has had her storyline extended significantly. By working with her and bringing her unique test subjects you can unlock special serum traits, the building blocks of your mind altering serums. Gabrielle, your cousin who recently moved back into town with your aunt, has a new section of content written that continues her story arc she becomes sluttier. A new strip club location offers a place to relax and watch a show, and the new ability to wander the city lets you find it and more in your spare time. Lastly, you can now have one of your employees act as your company model, modeling in photoshoots to advertise your product. The more risqué the pictures you can convince her to take, the higher the returns you will see in sales.

Outside of the new written content there have been a bunch of important changes and improvements. In particular, performance ahs been improved dramatically. A major memory leak has been plugged and the source of unreasonably large save files has been tracked down and fixed. A whole pile of other bugs have been fixed, from crash causes to typos, improving the stability of the game in general.

This update adds a couple of cool new features and some fun new content. Intercharacter relationships are now tracked, letting girls form friendships or rivalries with each other. Some events are only possible between friends, while others can only happen between characters who dislike each other. Familial relationships between girls is also tracked now, making it possible to have a mother and daughter work for your company. There have been improvements to the system used to render girls, allowing me to introduce lighting effects based on your location and time of day, as well as the long overdue addition of properly represented eye colours.

One area of content that has been given a particularly large amount of love this update is the dating system. Two new types of dates have been added to the game, supplementing the previous dinner date you could invite girls on. These new date types are lunch dates and movie dates and they now form a smooth progression to take a girl from an acquaintance to someone who is in love with you. The requirements and rewards for chatting, flirting, and dating a girl have been tweaked to line up with this progression. Unique responses and modifiers for family members and girls who are already in a relationship have been added, giving extra weight and feedback to the process of corrupting a girl.

- Added priority variable to menu actions so that they can be given a fixed order to appear in.
- Disabled actions are now always grouped at the bottom of a menu, instead of appearing scattered throughout.
- Added intercharacter relationships. Characters will form friendships and rivalies with people around them, which may influence events.
- Character relationships are currently always displayed on thier "defailed information" page, but this may change in the future.
- Added familial relationships for other characters. Characters may now have their adult children or siblings added to the game during some events.
- Added "Family interview" random event, possible when one of your employees has adult children.
- Added "Work Relationship" random event. Two of your employees become friends or rivals, depending on their likes/dislikes.
- Modified "Catfight" random event. Now occurs between two employees who dislike each other (are either rivals or nemeses) instead of low obedience employees.
- Eye colour is now properly rendered for all characters. Eye colours are drawn from a central list, then have a small varience applied.
- Added internal ability to procedurally generate daughters for a character. A daughter has the same skin type and is likely to have similar hair colour, eye colour, height, body type, and/or breast size as her mother.
- Seperated sex responses into four classes: Foreplay, Oral, Vaginal, and Anal to provide wider range of responses during sex scenes.
- Wrote sex response variations for all major personality types for new foreplay, oral, and anal responses.
- Modified existing sex scenes to make use of the new sex responses.
- Added "lighting" characteristic to locations.
- Lighting can now vary depending on the time of day.
- Added support for rendering characters in different lighting characteristics.
- Added lighting values for all existing locations throughout the day.
- Added support for different background images depending on the time of day.
- Added in dark background versions for several key locations.
- Early morning and evening now both commonly use the "dark" version of a background.
- Added two new types of dates: A lunch date and a movie date.
