This isn't me asking for pregnancy content for Keros, it's really more of an interest in lore, if Lumia can get pregnant, that means Keros and other gods can as well? impregnate and get pregnant I mean, since their forms would be pretty fluid, if that IS the case was he saying the truth about 12 concubines and the nobles and den mother being descended from him? or was he lying and he can't produce life in any way

I think Lumia is playing a little trick with the lady, since last I remember, the Gods can not get pregnant.

Short answer: no

Long answer:
The "Gods" are ascended void beasts that have mantled the seven gods that may or may not have existed beforehand. The current "Keros" is not the same as the Keros with his 12 concubines. The original Keros may have not even existed. Now "Lumia" got around this limitation by merging with a mortal follower of hers. It's not "Lumia" per se that is getting pregnant but it's her mortal shell that she merged with.

Now, "Keros" does have a series of scenes where if the player breeds Femkeros and then the player sleeps in the Fox den's bed then they will have a "dream" about a pregnant FemKeros being yandere over them. More than likely, this is Keros giving the PC a "be careful watch you wish for", but with Keros, you never truly know for sure.

To be honest, that bit of lore and the kitsune lore have always seemed to me to mesh about as well as oil and water.

Main issue just being that said ascending would seemingly of happened inside of Kiyoko's lifetime. Yet somehow the Old Country, itself explicitly little touched by the godswar, just "failed to notice" the kitsune's collective soul getting eaten by a wraith. To say nothing of Kiyoko somehow being able to identify a yasha on sight. Or just the entire premise of Keros even turning Komari into one in the first place being based on the lie of him even "having" a family connection to Kiyoko.

Like, void beasts info kind just turns Keros and his actions from a "morally grey trickster" into just an outright molevolent dick that is almost certainly up to something, and you really shouldn't trust.

who says it got munched? no notes on the rest except to highlight that den mothers are pretty important to keeping kitsune birthrates up

That would be because that did not happen.
Then how is it directly linked to Keros, if it's existence predates his own? He'd presumably of had to assume control over it at some point.

I guess if the kitsune collective soul was hanging around somewhere in the material or astral world, like Lumia's vat of Valkyrie souls, New Keros could have claimed it along with his position. Occam's Razor.

My point of confusion is just that if "drinking" your soul is supposed to link you up to it, then presumably he at some point would had to of drunk it. I guess it could have come along with the whole maybe-mantling a possible Old Keros... but at that point the line between the Old and New Seven seems so vague, that they seem mostly just angsting over nothing.

I always figured he was being metaphorical/deliberately creepy and didn't literally ingest/digest your soul.

Somewhere hurling through space
My headcanon is that compared to the others:
The Keros we see here IS the original Keros, as all kitsune share similar traits with Wraith-touched and is the god that historically mettles with mortals the most. However, as this had all happened LONG ago, Keros has had time to evolve and develop abilities that the younger ones haven't. Hints towards this would be that all kitsune souls belong to the collective, Mallach tells Kassyra that he is able to return souls back to their demonified bodies, people mistaking kitsunes for demons, and finally, the very concept of chi with Keros ability to make bodies for those without (I ALWAYS have 32 plus kits with Kiyoko before then).

As for the Godswar, of course he'd help the newer ones like himself. He sent his own to help them because he knew what was at stake. I personally think Lumia is one of the youngest of the New Seven (Zeus styled), manifesting during the Godswar proper, while Nareva being slightly older than the Godswar as Tycris was taken off guard, like they didn't know it was even coming, but unless/until Savin and/or The Observer confirm or Jost these theories, it's anyone's game (hehe).

With his skill set, it isn't too far-fetched that he could do what he does while still keeping in track with the lore. The debate if Keros is actually pregnant or just fucking with us is so in line with his character and abilities, that it keeps me on my toes. lol
