Just a TITS clone

I loved the original COC, despite being introduced to it via Revamp. I didn't like all of the RNG in it, but the game overall was fun, straightforward, and actually made me feel something after listening to the NPC's backstory. However, I did not enjoy the TITS gameplay. Immediately as soon as you are thrown in, you're introduced to all of these characters, planets, companies, items, and it was just not fun. The fact that you're limited to only one perk per level out of two was not enjoyable, and by the time I got to the 3rd pod, I lost all interest. Most events are level-locked, and the busts were just so unnatural. I despise all the detail on the characters, and their breast/cock sizes were insanely disproportional to the rest of their body, seeming almost pornstar-esque. I enjoyed the COC's 8/16-bit character portraits because the lack of detail allowed me to imagine their body-type with my own thoughts. Not to mention, the color of the text to background was off-putting to me, and I was more likely to skim over the texts. When I tried the EEAARRLLLYYY access of COC2, I enjoyed it a bit more than I did TITS, but I'm afraid that the rest of the game will be too similar to the sci-fi adventure. If there could be an option to switch between the busts and the 16-bit portraits, I might be more interested. But seeing that this is a sequel to COC, my expectations are still high. I want to enjoy COC2, and the quest journal makes it a little easier to comprehend what's happening, but as of now, it just seems like another TITS game.

You only got one perk per level in CoC as well. The reason there were a bunch of perks to pick from was that there was no set class. Granted, you can have an uber powerful character that could take down level 10 enemies at 6 with MAXED STATS, but you could also have a horribly built pc that was a joke at 20. CoCII game play is going to be different from CoC or TiTS.

How about you wait until the build is more substantial before casting judgement?

p.s. Fenoxo likes hypers, and there was a ton of them in CoC too. :)

What I'm saying is that you only get two perks to choose from per level, and you can only get one of those two in a single level, where you then choose between to more perks, unable to choose the perk you turned down ever again.

I'm not saying that the game IS TITS, and that's my final judgement on the matter. From a first-glance, the game just seems too much like TITS, but only because of the linear format of travel, and the busts. It's different from the original COC, and that's what sequels are there for (don't mention Call of Duty). I just hope that it doesn't become TOO much like TITS.

Okay. So they like hypers. Not my problem. It's their own opinion and kink. I have some weird kinks that others might not have (e.g. natural body structures, exotic forms, incest, oviposition, etc.) But the non-descript portraits allowed me to picture the characters without the hypers.

If pixel art for all the characters appeared out of the ether, sure we'd have it be an option. Doing every bust twice to have a pixel version is just unrealistic though.

I know exactly what you're talking about. But a lot of CoC perks that you could select weren't combat related. And then there were TF perks (like the 9 tails) that were too damn good and others that were so minor they may as well not have been a thing (cat like Flexibility). Fenco wanted to dance around that and went with classes. There are minor TF perks in TiTS, but they're for flavor (mostly).

Travel in CoC benefited from the fact that Mareth was damn near the Warp from Warhammer 40k. There will be warpstones so you can fast travel in CoC II.

You did read the disclaimer about weird fetishes right? You can't make a writer work on something they're not into.

P.S. Are you down with anal? Because Savin likes anal.

I think it's safe to say that while the developers don't want to take player agency away by normalizing the leveling process (you get x at y level) the leveling process in CoC could be a wildly imbalanced. One level you may choose to get 1 extra inventory slot (boring) and the next you may take the armor penetration perk (overpowered). By normalizing what people get and when, the developers can more finely tune the game to be more balanced from minimum level to max level. And besides, it's not like all the perks where available from level one - most of them where tied into your stat pool, which you ended up normalizing itself because there was really no point in specializing since stats/levels where so plentiful.

I have a simple answer for this thread, Savin is doing a great job with this game so far. It's supposed to be different from all the other things. The game can't move on it's own, so if you want to know a character or company from tits, codex and work at your own pace. Don't like a bust(s) disable them. CuteFutaGirls does great pixel work, so if you want something from them try asking nicely.

Quite your pointless bitch'in; it is what is is, if you want something else then make it. I always give things a try before I complain, because I probably won't if did because then you understand. Like how Nonesuch was open to people making prisoner Lah, people wanted it so I tried to make it. I failed and said fuck it I tried, good luck with that Nonesuch.

It's always easier to say this and that kind of shit but in reality I do see a lot of people bitching and complaining. And you know what... as Dragonice just said you go ahead and try making a game and see how it turns out. Most people who turn around and try to do this lose interest because they realized they were trying to fill in shoes that are far to large for them.

They're reasonable complaints to have, actually. One of the strengths CoC is that, to an extent, there really isn't a narrative, everything is free formed. Everything is in a bubble, sure, but if you just play like once a week and sit down you can press the explore button and get into trouble and take things as they come up, without having to think of a big picture outside of sweeping things, like the city is Tel'adre and blah blah.

Tits attempted to have more of narrative, on the flipside. It can be a lot to deal with for someone more interested in smut and individual waifus and etc. CoC2 will also have a fairly structured narrative, more so then TiTs even, but also a certain amount of that "wander around" charm as well. You'll likely be a little disappointed ultimately, though.

that said i think you're starkly in the minority re:bust chat though

i do hope nps, will generally be more normal, so that outlyers will be all the more special, for example if you're playing a futa character that you are sort of special/interesting when npc's find out, and that not 70% of the females are sporting dongers. even though i like dongers, it'd feel more interesting imo. but yes, it's hard to write interesting content for a fetish your not into.

Personally I like both CoC and TiTs for their respective approaches and presentations. I didn't really get enough of CoC2 to get a good feel of where it is going to fall in the mix. I do like the streamlined nature though. It makes me think of the older console dnd games where you would explore room by room on huge maps . Of course that's just the typical dungeon crawler genre. This game definitely has a feel that it will be more open world at least with regards to the potential content. Now, the only hard limits would be how far anyone wants to go with creating tons and tons of maps and populating them with npcs and little hidden spots or what have you. (That's basically the generic elder scrolls filler content though.)

I do want to make a side-note about the game so far. I think that it runs much smoother than the original CoC and or any of the mods did. I just hope that maybe the devs will input a keypad nav ability into the game. If it already has one then it just means my Firefox browser is being stupid by auto bringing up the search panel whenever I tried hitting keys to move. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the exploration options kinda like the original one had. But I do feel that the way to go with these types of games is to also create maps like you have in the demo. A good balanced mix of the two approaches will make things more versatile all around. I am hopeful though that it will continue to run fluidly as opposed to its predecessor CoC which was at times prone to long loading times with the mods. But that was also a limitation with Flash probably.

I think we need to wait and see it build a little more before we make any serious judgements about this game. Its way too early to fairly call it a TiTS clone in all honesty.

I'm running Chrome, and moving with the keys works just like it does in TiTS. So yeah, it could be Firefox.
