I am at the point that tells me to go to the Zheng Shi station. I looked at the wiki and tried the two password options and i am still being forced into the bad ending!

Did you enter the password exactly as it appears? I can't remember, but capitalization might matter.
You can call on Paige to get you in.
Whether you get the password right or wrong, you still have to fight. The only difference is whether you fight Urbolg or the planets defenses.

I entered both passwords as the wiki said and i still had to fight. both the defense system and Urbolg in that order when i entered the password incorrectly on purpose. and Just Urbolg when entered correctly and could not win without save editing max stats
I've always had to fight Urbolg with the password. I don't think it can be skipped.
What's your class, level and equipment?

He'll surrender as soon as his Shields go down, so bringing as much Electric damage as you can will help a lot. He's highly resistant to Tease damage, and has ~5% less Shields in Silly Mode (569 instead of 600).
