This is a question I would like to ask to the long time contributors of TiTs. When you work on the game is it hot or does the fact that you have been working on it for so long turn it into a type of day job? Or is it a mixture of both?

Writing still gives me plenty-o-boners.
Since I started taking commissions it sort of became a job but not really because I have an actual payroll-based job outside of writing and writing is still more of a hobby than anything. Commissions do make me feel more compelled to write when I may not want to, for sure, but that doesn't stop the writing from being hot, if anything it's broadened my array of fetishes in a short time.
Oh, misunderstood the question, yeah, the games still hot as shit. I still start new characters just so I can play around with different weapons and see my latest fetish-body-type/monstergirl/boy in sex scenes. Hell, I can even get off to my own scenes now.

I'll reiterate all of what Hugs said. I kind of made writing an obligation to myself, which is what all creative endeavors should be. You have to do at least something every day, even if you don't want to, in order to get better at it. That goes for writing too. Commissions also motivate me to write when I otherwise might not, and they inspire to really give the old college try to a lot of fetishes I might not have considered otherwise.
All that being said, I get very hot when writing most of my content, because I rarely write things that I don't find sexy. I've heard many, if not most, other writers say that they can't get off to their own work, but I guess I'm just that special kind of narcissistic.
No, you haven't experienced true self-gratification until you've gotten off to your own work.
After like 5 years of this shit it takes something monumentally up my fetish alley to give me a writeboner, but I can still definitely enjoy TiTS when I play it on my own time.
