Is it weird that I play this game for its lore and world building?

I won't lie and say that I'm not interested in the setting and lore, and on Fen's take on psionics, but progress there feels unlikely to happen much for a good time yet.

I mean, it's a sex game. We wouldn't be here if we didn't like the smut. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to every update that further fleshes out characters that I enjoy.

I mean, I'm basically here for the rampant sluttery that happens, but some cool lore is interesting too!

Good smut will only get you so far, a good story mixed with good smut is defintely going to get you more readers.

I'm on the fence. When you get peeps writing for your scenes, a bit of what's established tends to get lost. Like the codex was supposed to be a super pokedex that only the player possesses and some people -like Kiro in your first bar scene and Hand So when she demands you hand it over- are impressed on your piece of tech. But then you start noticing a few other people have one, even Celise for whatever reason. That's what I feel anyway, I'm nitpicky like that.

I think the codex devices are supposed to be analogous to modern smartphones, in that they are portable computers and there are numerous varieties and brands--not all are at the same tech level as the one Steele possesses. Some may be super simple (basic translator, mail system and/or credit wallet) to more complex (access to the extranet databases and other various functions).

Even though I'm a nerd for game balance, I really stayed on TiTS for the world-building, there is a lot of fun ideas and I really want to see what will happen.

i really like the maps! I dunno why but when ever there is a dungeon or a planet expansion, even if only a single room, it just gets me excited. The bigger, the better. Unique map mechanics will also excite me. My favorite planet, map wise, is Myrellion, and my least favorite is Tarkus (i've been waiting for the second half of tarkus forever!).

I came because I really liked CoC. So, the porking drew me in, the characters and lore stuff keep me here.

Also, I do like playing the game. Kinda sitting on my Tech until there are more major updates though... he's nearing 4 in game years and he's only found 3 probes. :|

Wait... Celise has a Codex?

Yeah, like Prai Ellit's Grim-R which is basically a cheap Codex knockoff.

Nah, Celise doesn't have a codex. She used the ship's computer to send emails.

Lanequest says otherwise. Although looking over the quest a third time Anno and Reaha do as well... might just be an inconsistency.

Steele's codex is suppose to be far beyond other codex in terms of abilities, it feels more like a survival tool with all the things you might be able to put on it.

Nah, it's not just you. One of the things I like about TiTS is that it's got enough behind it to be a good sci-fi game on its own. It's soft sci-fi, with the easy space travel and even easier body mods, but there's enough actual story and info that holds up on its own. Part of why I love New Texas is cowgirls, yeah, but another part is that it's a whole society based around people who genetically modified themselves for their survival, and I think that's really interesting.

Whether TiTS and CoC are good RPGs in their own right is highly debatable, but i keep playing them despite the vary finite quantity of gay smut is because i legitimately enjoy playing them.

Not at all; My brain needs something to chew on to make the smut that much more interesting.

While I quietly keep wishing for it, a big story update over a constant trickle of smut is probably not gonna happen anytime soon, so it keeps feeling like there's a good idea for something more in-depth but it never goes anywhere.

If you want an answer to if it is "weird" as you put it, I would personally have to say no it is not.
My reason?
Because that is what you like.
Since you were built up to have that mind set for enjoying a games lore rather than adult content that makes it not weird.
Something being weird would be what is against any form of natural thought for a human, thus making it an inhuman thought process.

You enjoy the lore of the game more than the porn.
I also am personally not against some decently written smut, but I enjoy the lore, game mechanics, and interesting creatures people come up with more than it.
To see what the human mind can come up with through their own imagination and scientific/biological research gives me no small amount of enjoyment.

Keep enjoying yourself okay~? :p

I love the character development. Smut is good and all, but having some good progression to go along with it makes it even better.

Not in the least. Some of my favorite parts of the game are the lore stuff and interconnections.

I definitely stay for the lore and the worldbuilding. I love the different races and cultures said races have. Doesn't hurt that there are some cuties that I like to pursue.
