The codex entry on armor says that it is an percentage health increase against physical attacks. As example 20 armor are equal 20% more health going from 200 to 240 health against physical attacks.
The minotaur miners have 92 armor and 350 health giving them a theoretical health of 672 vs. physical attacks.
Galons griefmaker has 50 armor piercing, so the miner has 42 armor left and thus 497 health.
Is this correct? By simply equipping the griefmaker I reduce the enemies health vs. physical dmg by 175 points?
That would mean that it is much better to use the highest AP weapons instead of actual dmg.
As comparison the captains greatsword has no AP at all, so it has to deplete an extra 175 hit points?
In theory that would make the mace the strongest one-handed weapon dmg wise, because of 20 AP 35 dmg and the crushing dmg type alot of enemies are weak to. As well as the griefmaker the strongest melee weapon with 50 AP and the Bessy Mauler the strongest ranged weapon with 60 AP.
