Inviting Jojo to camp

Sorry if there's a megathread for questions like these, but the search function didn't find one.

I've encountered Jojo enough times in the forest to get the option to invite him to my camp. I turned it down, however, figuring I'd want to do one or two things first. But when I encountered Jojo again weeks later in-game, the option isn't there.

Is there any way to get Jojo back into my camp without dropping my save file?

It should be every 5 times you meditate with him, the offer will appear, so just keep at it. If you've raped him at any point though, you can never invite him to camp.
