Can Demon-Demon relations spawn imps or does one of the participants have to be ensouled?

Pretty sure as long as something without a soul tries to reproduce in anyway it creates imps.

^ This. Imps are produced because at least one parent lacks a soul, with the implication that in order to create a non-imp from sexual reproduction, both parents must have souls. (And yes, that includes kitsune - their souls are accessed remotely instead of being installed locally.) It's actually the main reason Kasyrra is interested in the Champion - she thinks their soul could be used to avert this.

Well we learn most souls are small and glow (no clue if it's a base by base case with size and glow) but if you do the kitsune TF you learn the champs is uh, resplendent.
