Basically a noob question. Where should I go and what should I do? And is there any detailed guide? Honestly, I feel confused by the game so far. I've never played a text game before, I prefer visuals over text.

There are only really a couple of things you need to know to get started.

While all classes are pretty good and have their builds, Warriors are generally simpler to understand.

First is that equipment matters, make sure that you have your character equip armor and weapons as soon as possible.

Equipment that has a star next to it are unique and are in general better than non-unique.

The (Intended) First area is the north area, the old forest. You basically want to go to the North most area and try to cut down the trees blocking your path and then talk to Garth (The innkeeper) that you can't.

Always have 2 party members following you. You get Brint and Cait on the first day and they can carry you to the end of the game if need be.

Read your quests. Quests will generally tell you how or what you have to do to beat them.

If you see a red skull icon on your map, then you are in an area that is way too high level for you.

You need to sleep to level up you and your party members (Party members level up alongside you)

The old forest is pre act 1, Act 1 will end is you go to Winter City. You reach Winter City by continuously going north.

The Wiki https://wiki.smutosaur.us/CoC2/Main_Page is your friend. So give a thank you to Libelous for maintaining it.

Also I did post a guide to this forum. Absolutely do not follow it, but it might help. Just don't actually attempt it.

Story wise you go north but if you're like me who likes stronger opponents go south and get kicked by lupines until you level up enough and get revenge.

I began my first game in the Harvest Valley, and didn't leave it until I finished traversing through it and completing its by-then available quests. When I found out about the forest and Brint joined the fray, it felt extremely awkward XD

That is exactly how I played the game at first. I didn't realize that wayshrines existed.
