HP raising items?

Are there ANY items in the game that RAISE your characters HP, that goes BEYOND the LOCKED Level 10 HP number you get depending on what kind of character you are playing?

I mean come on. Seeing the HP of some of the opponents you fight, how the heck is your charact who has a Level 10 200 HP number supposed to actually WIN against a character who has a HP that almost goes up to 700?

MOST of the time, I keep running out of HP before I can properly whittle down my opponents HP.

Fortification is the "bonus hp" stat. Though generally you should be focusing on your class' main survivability trait, be it Smuggler's evasion, Mercenary's defense or Tech Specialist's shields.

Shields, shield recharge and health restoration items . There is almost no enemy in the game I don't just spam click 'shoot' and beat easily with my shield tech. A rare few might make my auto shield recharge trigger or use the recharge ability.

What class are you using?

Ok, so you're a Merc since you have 200HP. You definitely don't need more health, especially with Second Wind. But anything with "Fortification" gives you health. Shields are useful, and with the Pirate Prototype Shield you'll have 400 effective HP without any Fortification. You should be using something with a good Defense stat so you take less damage per hit. There's literally nothing you shouldn't be able to kill with even half-decent stats and gear. Remember to take perks that compliment your style; a Ranged Merc isn't gonna want Second Attack or Power Strike, but will want Carpet Grenades to deal with multiple opponents where a Melee Merc would use Detonation Charge or whatever to increase single-target damage.

If your mehtod of survival is to try and use raw hitpoints to survive incomeing damage, your doing it wrong. I dont wish to sound rude, but thats the blunt truth. Your HP is suposed to be a buffer to take a few extra hits, not be the primary way to avoid loseing.

Heck, me personally I my gear actually gives me a net loss in max hp, but I can sitll tank so much damage with my high defence, good shields and passive regeneration that im basically on god mode.

I'm usint Mercenary class, since thats the ONLY one that gives the 200 HP when your character goes up to Level 10.

Why SHOULDN'T I rely on my HP to help me win? ESPECIALLY against opponents who are over 500 HP HIGHER than me and can last LONGER than me in battle, depending on what kind of weapons and shields THEY have? I even have that Zheng Shi shield that gives 200 Shield points equipped, and I STILL wind up losing against my opponents no matter what kind of weapons or armors my character has equipped. Having high powered enemies with over 700 HP, who I bet are also at a HIGHER level than our measley little 'PERMANENTLY stuck at Level 10' characters, against our measly 200 HP characters is an UNFAIR disadvantage.

I mean come on. The enemies with HP that go up to 700 MUST have levels exceeding Level 10, in order for their HP to be THAT high. If this was a video game, they'd have to at least be between level 30-50 or so to get HP points THAT high.

Tanking in this game is pure idiocy. This isn't an MMO. Your shield exists to give your character just enough time to weather damage so you can deal as much damage as you can. Just about every class now at level 10 has ridiculous damage output if you know how to go about it. There are plenty of guides and discussions on this board that can help you. Protip: it isn't your health that is the problem, it's the amount of damage you do.

Given your indignant original post on this though, I suggest you turn on easy mode.

Lets break this down a little, what enemy(s) are you haveing trouble with?
Are you a gun merc, or a melee merc?
What is your primary weapon?

Post your exact stats, gear, and perks, to help us figure out where you went wrong.

Then, tell us what enemies are beating you.

We're being serious when we say a level 10 shouldn't be losing to anything.

I don't meta and gym out everything and my mixed dronemaster Steele with siegewulf (took shield right off the bat) was the first to clear even roz with my apollo rifle
So yeah just gotta tweak gear and hey, sometimes its a little rng.
Also, train your tease.
Like it or not some encounters like amara and other tanky enemies are designed to be easier to tease.
Spider dommes are near impossible to brute force (although thermal detonators are amazing) but take like 4 or 5 low power teases to topple.
So when in doubt tease it out

I don't tease. My stats are max, but it takes so little effort to do that I don't consider it an issue. My gear is not optimal, but I'm a Melee Shield Tech with the Drone Control perk and Seigwulfe. Quadommes go down in 2-3 Gravidic Disruptors, but they are dangerous.

You're looking at numbers rather than effective turns to kill and actions you can get.

In any case you're shield is easier to heal even as a merc so stocking up on items for it is helpful.

Lust combat is also useful.

If you are running with a weaker shield for stat benefits then getting a vampiric weapon like the devourer or something if you use guns to keep the health up.

Having one solely for that works on Melee too. With Melee having a weapon with Stun chance and/or whos damage matches the enemy is useful.

Also Sense. It's useful for what's not on the wiki. It's not unfair. It's only bs if you run into a brick wall of defense against your favored type which can be frustrating but the tutorial tells you that enemies that hard counter certain styles are a thing. It's what Lust weapons of various types and emp grenades are for.

Though I need my poison melee weapon some time.

Ill tease depending on the fight
Sometimes its waaaay easier to tease an enemy then actually fight it

All of this is really good advice
