How valuable is Leadership?

I am making a warrior tank and not sure if I want to go Strength, Toughness, and Presence or Agility. If I am relying on Companions to deal damage it seems like Leadership would be important but all of the Agility bonuses are useful whereas Sexiness is not useful at all.

If you're going to rely on your companions to deal damage, you probably won't need Strength since it's mainly for dealing damage yourself. For a tank who relies on companion damage, Toughness/Agility/Presence seems like your best bet, and if you think you're wasting your points on Presence, remember:
  • You could always throw a summon into your build; their stats are determined by the summoner's Leadership (so high Presence = better summons), and some of them are pretty good damage dealers.
  • Some enemies are quite weak to Tease damage, so Sexiness is useful when you encounter them.

Leadership is never a bad thing to have because it makes your companions and summons better, but it's especially good if you're playing your Champion in a supporting role (like you seem to be aiming for) and especially if they're a summoner or you make use of another character with a summon because that makes three allies getting the stat boost from Leadership.

The issue I have with that is I want to be able to do decent damage since I will be the last one to die in hard fights if I can't deal any damage at all that is a guaranteed loss. If my healer dies I will probably lose anyway but if my dps dies and I have high strength I could be ok. The armor isn't super important but it gets boosted by Shielded Stance by 50% whereas Evasion is just a flat +15 from that. Initiative is whatever doesn't really matter. So that is mainly why I considered Strength more important than Agility. I am probably mostly going to die from resolve damage anyway though. It is a bit annoying that Armor and Physical Resistance are split up whereas the other defensive stats are not. Like I think giving Crit Damage to Strength and Armor to Toughness would make more sense but whatever not important.

Reject leadership. Embrace crits and cleave. Speaking as someone who has been punished by RNGesus, don't sacrifice agility. It's way too useful. Running a human noble scion warrior and my companions do good damage without me putting extra points into presence. If you feel it's best though, I'd recommend sacrificing toughness unless you're on hard or dark. Warriors are pretty tanky anyway and with veteran reworked, wearing heavy armor is great. Imo strength toughness and agility or strength cunning agility are best stats for warriors.

I usually play on the max difficulty.

I have not had time to test warrior out after the new change so I'm assuming they still can't magically generate high threat without attacking, but I would say building Agility now on tanky warriors is now even better. Since you build strength, you will need agility to make sure you are able to hit things. I'm surprised to hear you have to have to rely on other champions since warriors never had a problem doing damage so I'm assuming you can't hit anything because your agility is too low or you are not using offensive skills and went full support tank. If the latter is true then I would recommend choosing between going a more damage-focused tank since it's the best way to make use of your passive or doing what TheShepard recommended and using summons, but at that point you better off switching roles to white mage since warriors passive becomes pretty useless.

An example a tanky warrior build would-be Great heal, cleave, eviscerate, Bull Rush, whatever Ult you want. Have heavy armor, and I think heavy weapons also help you generate threat.

I haven't played in awhile. Last time I played was when Pyromancer Brienne was released and she was so OP and did like 3x the amount of damage my Paladin did. I didn't have as much threat as a Paladin though so I thought going full Warrior would be a better tank and that Brienne would still do insane damage to everything anyway. You can build threat just by using the stance and then using Vanguard or Warcry and you don't have to hit anything. I don't want to use summons at all. I might use Kiyoko a bit in the beginning but that is about it. Brienne and Etheryn like to summon stuff and I mainly just use their summons. I think playing a Noble Scion Human and using the Helm of Heroes is probably enough Leadership. I would never take Great Heal on my Warrior I would take Shielded Stance and use either Cait or Etheryn.

Add a Hornet Ring
Not unless you want eventual hypertits and needing to manage preventing them because crit builds with that ring are an easy path to that. :U
