How to reach lake/desert

How do you get to the lake or desert? I've opened the waystones and gone through the foothills, the frostwood, and the southern area with the marefolk and I can't find another doorway or anything to go through to reach a new location.

I think you are confusing CoC1 and CoC2. The Lake and the Desert are locations in CoC1 but the Foothills, Frostwood, and the marefolk are in CoC2.

yeah I think you got stuff mixed up CoC 1 dosnt have waystones.

CoC2 isn't CoC1. You're playing in a completely new location in a whole new game. Check what game you're playing next time.
