Any of yall mind giving me a hand here?

The wiki ssays that once i raise a frostwym kip to maturity, then the ball will get rolling to meet nykke. But I knocked frosty up a ton of in game days ago, and the wiki says jack shit on how to do it.

I suspect it has something to do with lessaus frostwyrm quest, but im stumped on that too. Regardless, id appreciate some help on that as well.

IDK if this is relevant, but this is the same save file from before the incesst content got the axe, and id alread interacted with old nykke a fair bit. is it possible that may have screwed things up?

and lastly, i found some odd flags while poking around the save editor. namely the ones that say "nykke version" and "nykke version toggle". is it possible fen left a cheeky way to restore the old nykke?

Anyway, id really appreciate any help yall can give me on this. Thanks!

Have you gotten an email detailing reports on people seeing nykke? You need to read that then walk around the coast where you can summon frosty and nykke should show up.

I know that, but like I said, the wiki says that in order to get that email you first need to raise a kid to maturity. So until I can get past that hurdle I'm pretty much fucked.

In order to raise a kip to maturity, you need to wait 112 days after impregnation for yourself and/or the Frostwyrm to give birth, then return to her and spend a further 224 days actually raising them in a cutscene-equivalent. After that, you should get the email as usual.

No, the two versions of Nykke have entirely separate flags; namely, all the ones with 2 in them are from her current content, and the rest are from her original content. The only overlap is:

No, DrunkZombie put it in. Set NYKKE_VERSION_TOGGLE to 1 for her original content, and to any other value (or leave it undefined) for her current content.

Complete the Deepsea Biolab quest and do the Frostwyrm's content up to giving her a nickname, then talk to Lessau about frostwyrms. You should be able to figure out the rest from there.

Ok. I likely just haven't had the kids for long enough yet. At least I hope so, cuz if not then... oof...

Wait, seriously?!?!? But, how? I thought the old stuff was completely wiped. Is it still buried in the code somewhere? Or does the editor do some kind of black magic to restore it?

And more importantly, how did he get the green light from fen to do this? Well now that I think about it, this is a third party application zombie is making on his own time, so that likely give it legal separation, but still, isn't that a tad risky?

Ah, ok, cool!

Uh.... can you tell me how to start the biolab quest, please?

All of old Nykke's content is still in the Flash code, it's just inaccessible through normal gameplay; save editing is the only way to set the version toggle. There are at least two other instances of a character being completely removed from the game, yet their content remains in the code (though neither are accessible, even with save editing). It remains to be seen whether they'll be carried over to the JS port.

DZ doesn't work on any save editor, he's the one who coded almost all of Frosty's and Nykke's content. I don't know how (or even if) he got Fen's approval to code in that backdoor.

Try to go to this room:

Then ask Lessau about it. I advise you be at least level 9, and bring plenty of Burning and/or Freezing damage while avoiding Electric damage entirely.

Ah. Ok. Well, fingers crossed this stuff stays!

Ah, ok. Shit, I just realized: I may have accidentally ratted this out.... hopefully nobody gets in any hot water, and that the team doesn't request it to be removed.

One last question. Aside from the obvious bit of Nykkes blood relation to you, is there any difference between old and new Nykke? By that i mean does new Nykke have some interactions that the old one dosnt, like say maybe in the lessau quest, because the retcon thing happened before the quest was written and implemented?

Apologies if im explaining this poorly, im not a very good wordsmith lol

I'd have to go through all of both their content to gauge how much, but there are differences. For one, her initial meeting is radically different due to her being a pre-existing NPC; she's also not at Frosty's den by default and you have to invite her there.

Hmmm.... ok.... well, I guess I'll just have to poke around a bit myself. Thanks!
