How many #$&?! Elementals are there?-divine pussy

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I'm just not high level enough, but I'm doing the survey portion of the 'divine pussy' quest, and I just can't defeat the elementals... I got as far as elemental J.
Do they come infinitely and there's something special I'm supposed to do??

they are infinite, you are just supposed to not die until the fight ends.

There's some bolded text right before the fight explicitly stating that you'd have to last for 10 turns. Pick companions (and possibly a power loadout) that promote survivability; Witch Cait is particularly good.
