So the first enemy in the game is OP off the bat. I'm a hunter and have tried countless times with many different strategies to beat the harpies, but they get me every time (lvl 1). Sometimes I come close if manage to hit them, but this is rare, they dodge pretty much every attack. My Primary is a Blade Staff and I have Apprentice robes equipped. Still not enough. I know it's early in dev, but that's a little rough for the starting area, dontcha think?

Also, using melee weapons against flying enemies is not exactly effective. Harpies get a big Evasion bonus against your attacks; try a thrown or ranged weapon when fighting them.

On top of that, if I’m not mistaken, the Blade Staff gives no bonus to accuracy at all. So all in all, your weapon choice was about as poor as it gets without being barehanded

I meant in terms of after tutorial stuff
Yes, we're aware. The Foothills (where you fight the Harpy, Mercenaries, Wyvern, and Summoner) isn't the 1st area. The Old Forest - which is not implemented yet - is the true Level 1 beginning area. This is why the fights in the Foothills are as hard as they are; they're geared around a 3 man party that's at Level 2 or higher.

I'm a hunter as well, and I can say it only gets harder. But once you make enough money and level up enough, I would recommend buying the best bow, then going to the blacksmith and buying the mail-armor. And definitely choose the "Mark4Death" perk if you want to take the stronger enemies like Arona and her amazon orcs or the Harpie Wingleader and Enforcer out much faster. It either one-shots or does tons of damage if it connects.
