I was playing on the .39 version of the TiTs downloaded app & i saw there was a new version (.40) so i thought that doing a fresh install was the only way to update my game but after downloading & installing version .40 my lvl 8 save game with 10k chit is gone

A) You refreshed your cache and deleted your save (the offline version still saves in your browser cache)
B) Location changed- sounds like you're using the offline version. It needs to be in the exact same location as your previous version
C) You're calling it an app and being super vague. If you mean to say you're using the Mac version (which is an .ipa- the term "app" has long been stripped of any meaning, people call everything an app now), then I dunno
Try to post in the right sub-forum.
Tbh, lv8 with 10k isn't a big deal. It'd probably take you less time to start over and get back to where you were than it'd take to wait on a solution.
