Gryvain Knots

In the codex entry, it says that gryvains have "thick, bulbous bases that resemble canid knots, though they lack the same growth and knotting function." But, in the appareance screen, if you have a gryvain penis it'll describe a knot. It doesn't say the whole thing about it being ready to inflate and plug a female or whatever, but it describes a knot nonetheless.
Why it do this?

Because it's functionally a knot, and gives you access to knotting scenes.

If it looks like a knot, it is a knot, and thus will work like a knot.
