Are grown AI functionally immortal (barring accidents)? Or are they subject to senescence like the template they're taken from?

Looking at Hand-So I'd say they were immortal but on the other hand she's a designed AI right?

I believe there's a submission about an AI that sorta became a growing one and has lasted a few centuries mostly by itself.

There are no real reason for AI to be mortal in usual organic's sense. But they can suffer from things like data corruption, computing resources shortage, creation of inadequate cognition patterns...

They last about seven years before inevitably going rampant and having to be put down.

Hand So was designed by a non-UGC culture with (presumably) vastly different technology. She's not exactly representative of even the usual coded AIs.
