Got Banned from the Discord quite a while ago

I can't believe I've waited nearly a year to talk about this ... so yeah, here it goes:

One year ago, I was banned from the Discord Server, seemingly out of the blue, for a meme. I had been in the server for quite a while, and found it to be quite a interesting place. Sadly, a misjudgement from my slightly younger and dumber self made me post a meme somewhat related to the 911 events, not thinking it would harm anyone. And as such, I was immediately banned. Personally, I don't consider it a just action to ban people without warning, but fair enough, I'm not here to talk about the policies of the staff. Pff, maybe it actually helped me get somewhat better as a human being instead of spouting stupid political stuff without thinking, maybe it only made me mad for a bit. Who knows ? Anyway.

I would like to excuse myself to whichever I may have hurt, I was careless, it was (with one year of retrospective) a really shitty meme. I am sorry if it hurts someone.
And, maybe it's asking too much, but I would like to be allowed to rejoin the server, even if I really don't expect myself to be allowed such a pardon. (Why would anyone care about someone who's been an ass one year ago right and only comes begging after all this time, right ?)

And well, worst case scenario, you can just tell me to fuck off, that works too

The discord sever is a privilege not a right. You should have thought before you posted. The rules where and still are pinned. Common sense is also a factor. Don't post offensive stuff.

Well ... yeah ? I actually just said that I made a mistake and I'm not proud of it. But I'm also pointing out the fact that 'offensive' is somewhat of a subjective matter. I won't deny that yes, today, this meme would seem quite offensive to me. One year ago I just found it funny (didn't expect 911 to be such a massive thing for people after such a long time, I mean, when the attack happened I probably couldn't walk on my two legs yet, it didn't even happen in my country. The personal meaning of such an event was, and still is, for me, hard to understand. Now I am aware that it can hurt people to joke about this horrible stuff.) and therefor I posted it. The only real issue I have with such a ban, is that it was without warning, it's not like a moderator came like "Hey don't post that stuff, it's offensive" and I just posted some more. I posted it and got banned immediately

Yeah, I never denied that. I'm not sure where you're trying to get to runingman...
It's been a year. I've changed ... I think, I already said it, how I acted a year ago wasn't how I would act today.
I'm not saying I shouldn't be accountable for my past actions, but maybe I shouldn't be seen as the exact same person who did them. Neither am I saying "I've seen the light of god and choose the righteous path !" in a simple year, but I've been, and still am, trying to become a better person.
And you're here, seemingly judging me and not seeming to understand that I'm just asking for forgiveness for my past actions, a 'second chance' in a way.
