How does art come about for this game, is it all fan made or is it commissioned by the developers or is it something fans commission? Depending on the answer, if a character doesn't have a bust, is one coming along in a future update or... no i guess this question is dependant on the first being answered.

I was banging Velta and it got me wondering.

Fen employs two bust artists, Adjatha and Shou, and they produce the vast majority of the busts in the game. Occasionally additional busts are commissioned either by the writers or by Fen himself.

So by employ you mean they're on a consistent payroll as official TiTS artists or just steady commission work? I noticed at least one bust was fan made that Fen accepted, it's a Sera bust. But outside of that, only writers and Fen commissioned busts are placed into the game?

So, with that knowledge now laid out, a bust of Velta would be dependant on the author, Franks, commissioning it or would it be dependant on Fen doing so?

They're on a payroll. Fan busts can get in if they're of acceptable quality, but there's no hard rule or anything on that. I don't know who Velta is but if she has no bust she might be in the list for one already.

Fascinating, thanks for the info. Velta is the jogger on tavros' merchant deck and lives 1 tile south of Illaria's shop.
