Fun builds to try?

I know merc/ranged is the most op, but anyone can give details on other ones? One of the things I liked about CoC was the build variety, not seeing that here wondering if there was some fun build I been missing out on.

Ranged/Melee (insert class here) is basically all there is beyond "shield or drone" tech. The class system for this game is greatly underwhelming.

Also the only really bad build nowadays is melee smug, which is just hot garbage last i checked.

I mean, there's really no such thing as a build in TiTS, you just pick whatever looks fun and manage your perks accordingly. The upside is that you don't need to lose or submit to specific enemies or have specific traits to get moves or be more powerful.

Personally, I tend to opt for a lust-based Tech build, with Sweet Sweat, Jungle Queen Scent, and Vanae milk. YMMV with this build, though, because there are some enemies that aren't affected by being splattered with milk that's designed to make things horny.

Melee smug hits harder (or as i should say, has more opporrunities for big damage) than melee merc now. Abusing flash grenade and low blow is key.

That reminds me, how is Akbal doing now that we've defeated Lethice?

My head cannon is that a Pure Champion wrassled him to the ground and redeemed Lethice purified him.

Worst fight I had with a melee smug was in the Deep Caves against that flipping drone that attacks the Fungal Queen. Damn auto counter attack. :/

Yeah, in my opinion, melee Merc is worst. Though they still get Second Wind, so it's a bit of a toss up.

Remember to pack an electric weapon for machines, always.

Smugs of either option are about at the bottom rung for classes, they're frail and rely on having the highest evade gear and more importantly, getting their stat effects off. If Fenco throws in a tough enemy with Milodan immunities, well...

Ranged Smugglers can do pretty well with Hirudo, since the don't get hit much. As long as you know about the immunities you can avoid Berserking your enemy. Merc's can't really avoid that, since it's tied to the weapon, but they're really tough and do more damage without Aimed Shot

Melee smug is great, why is everyone saying it's not that good? Melee Merc is what needs work now.

It's not the berserking by itself, it's having your options being nullified altogether. If it comes down to attrition with you not being able to control your enemy, then you're far better off with a tanky tech or merc. A merc can face a berserking foe, or avoid it by chucking Det charges. You could use a Hirudo in a long fight. Sadly that leaves the melee smugs out.

Also might want to give cum-cow Smuggler/Tech a try. The dumb4cum perk gives you an incredible boost to the int state while satiated. Though fair warning, I have no idea what plans there are for levels past 10 but at the moment being cum-satiated with dumb4cum gives you 70 int at level 10. Perhaps in the future when you hit max level it levels out, no longer giving a distinct bonus.

Look up what perks Smug/tech have that derive bonuses from INT.

One of the treatment perks overrides int scaling and replaces it with libido. Even when fed and un-ditzed combat will use the bimbo ability activation texts, so I presume they're still scaling off of libido. I actually save edited my own cum-cow to remove the libido scaling perk, I considered it fair as a cockless Steele who hasn't sucked dick for so long will get weak in combat. Although... WITH the libido scaling perk, a 100% tainted character might pull some nasty numbers.

Melee Tech Specialist is pretty fun, and there are a good mount of options as far as viable weapons for that class too. I would ignore any drone perks and go straight for boosts to shields. If you do it right, you can have 300 shields using Urbolg's Shield Generator and 360 If you wear the Yellow Jumpsuit. My personal favorite melee weapons are the Custom Shock Gear for stuns/hit chance, the Tweaked Vampire Blade for shielded opponents, and the Dancing Flash Blade for damage. Petra's Whip is probably good too but I haven't used it, the negative evasion doesn't do it for me.

In the future, I hope there is a lot more variety in fighting types and equipment in general, a stupidly unrealistic but badass way of fighting I think would be amazing is some sort of Unarmed variety, where you go from cheap chitin knuckles to energy wolverine claws. Stupid, but I guess that's the Oblivion play-throughs in the past talking.
