this is a two pronged post

one is there a way to free etheryn from her curse yet?

two does anyone but me feel if you are gonna do kinosminos you have to have brint in your party?

- When you can free Ryn from her cage, you'll know it. If you actually attempt to follow her related quests through you'll run into the bolded this is far as this quest progresses for now message that tells you that it's, y'know, incomplete.

- Having Brint or Brienne in the party adds a lot more dialogue to Khor'minos scenes, yes. It's not essential (except for content that requires their presence like visiting their home) but it's generally beneficial in the same way that bringing Ryn to the Frostwood adds more dialogue to the map tiles or bringing either her, Azzy or both adds a lot of dialogue to High Ground.

regarding etheryn's race is there no way to get a boreal elf baby for the day care? or does that require a free ryn? i know you can become one but i wanted to get all possible races for day care and i think i am missing a few

i did not know about azzy and high ground will have to try that

The only boreal elf who can currently get pregnant is Elthara and there's no reason for her to send her children to Hawkthorne. Ryn is extremely unlikely to have a generic pregnancy system with blob children sent to the nursery once she's free of her cage because 1) the children would be royal heirs and she has a palace with staff in which to bring them up and 2) Aly is almost certainly the person who would be writing that content and she's both a fan of the family aspect and not a fan of number-gremlining, which is what the nursery basically is.
