I was surprised that this hasn't yet been brought up (to my knowledge). Adobe has recently announced that they are discontinuing all support for their Flash platform by the end of 2020. So far as this website goes- this appears to only impact CoC which was coded in ActionScript 3.
Going forward towards 2020, there won't be any way for end users to open .swf files using any major browser and thus CoC won't be accessible for the majority of people.
I was wanting to inquire as to what might happen in response to this development? Are there any plans to perhaps bring about an HTML5 version of CoC or to open source such a project? It would probably be easier to abandon it and let other people produce an Adobe Flash emulator and recommend the use of that- supposing if that ever happens eventually.
What are your thoughts on the demise of Adobe Flash? I can honestly say that I'm going to miss it when it is gone, but HTML5 has matured enough in terms of features and performance to where I feel that it is a worthy successor.
