I don't know how I'm this dumb but I guess I am. I just wanna look at codex entries and I can't figure out how, How do I do it?

You mean, look at the things like its description of taint or of civilizations, things like that? If so, press the codex button, then press on one of the categories that appear on the right side. From there, tap on one of the names/words and it shows it.
