Sorry if this seems stupid, or has been asked before. Exactly, how do I play the downloaded version of the game? I get an sfw file, right? As it stands, I have no way of playing those file types.

You can get a standalone flash player, but you can also right-click > open with > pick an internet browser of choice (firefox, chrome, etc.)
If the browser has flash, it should be able to play it.

Adobe flash has a tendency to update frequently so I usually have this site bookmarked ---> https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html
Download the file called "Flash Player projector"
Save it somewhere and go to the CoC .swf file. Right click it and select "open with". It will ask what program to open it with. Make sure to check the box that says "always use this app to open .swf files". Then go to where you saved the flashplayer_21_sa file and select it. Click on Open.
Now whenever you play CoC all you have to do is click it and it will open using the standalone automatically.
If you move or update the file, you will have to redo the "open with" process. But you can play offline and it's safer than being on the internet. :cthulhu:
