I haven't encountered any after a land of milk and honey.

They're replaced with Hive Knights, who are higher level and give better rewards (but also a higher chance of defeating and egging you, depending on how you're doing at combat)

The guys do disappear if I remember right. It is something that I would like to see fixed down the line.
