Differences Between Steam, Public and Patreon

Regarding CoC2, this game is legendary, absolutely love the attention to detail and the visual language used. The number of times I have played this game over and over, well let's just say, I can replay the game for months and still always be interested and never once have I been bored.

For ages I have wanted to support the development but have never been able to financially, but I want to show my support and so I'm buying the Steam version. I understand playing the public release is different than the one Patreon supporters have access to. What I know want to know is what is the difference between the Steam version in comparison to Patreon and the Public release?

TLDR: Backers pay every month for access to updates a bit sooner, Steam supporters pay once for automatic updates and various goodies, everyone eventually gets all the game content.
