Hello everyone, I'm here to share the game I have been working on for a while "Monsters of the Forest".

It follows the adventures of a novice adventurer after they are separated from their party in a dark dangerous forest. Will he try to escape or rescue his friends? How transformed will he be in the process? It's up to you!

Stuff this game has: Mtf TF, Ant-girls, Spider-girls, Kitsunes, girl on girl action, handholding, bad jokes, mediocre jokes, a good joke(unconfirmed) and most importantly: Adventure!
Stuff it doesn't have: Pictures, Guro, Scat, underage content, a joke where it turns out to have been a bunch of guys playing DnD.

At the moment the only completely finished routes are the ant-girl routes.

I'll admit that I'm a little nervous posting here, the game takes some thematic elements from COC and I really admire all the work Fenoxo has done over the years.

This game is more focused on how being transformed alters how the character interacts with the world than straight sexy times. It does have sexy times though. Also more focus on Adventure! than the original COC which was more random encounters.

Anyway I hope you fine beings will give it a shot and tell me what you think.

What kind of transformations? I mainly ask because you linked a tfgames page and I generally don't trust games off there as I loath M2F transformation and mental changes, though I tend to like almost any other kind of TF.

EDIT: Oh, I see the only sex tag is f/f tag now. Guess that's a pretty safe bet then that this game is not for me. Unfortunate, I love monster girls.

Well the sex is all skippable if you just want adventure and if you squint a bit you can get past the MTF aspect. But it sounds like this isn't what you are looking for.

Thanks! Glad you liked it! I guess in retrospect Kitsune 0 is pretty close to the a Kitsune Tsuki. I was more based off the picture I saw once in another game than the actual text though. As for updates notifications, short of joining the the TFgamessite? Not really. I tend to update monthly, normally around the 22nd though. Thanksgiving is pretty close so things might not work out exactly like that this month though.

My original plan because this update was so small was to just edit the first post, but apparently the forum really doesn't like that so here we are. Anyway I'm hoping updates will be bigger going forward.

I'm doing just fine thanks for asking! I normally don't log in when I check the thread.

As for the game, it's going. I spent November and December working on a small project called "To Borrow a Neighbor". It's a much different game than Monsters so I didn't make a thread here. After that I started to work on a Monsters release. I'm aiming to release it on the 22nd, the game's anniversary. It's not gonna be as big as I was hoping but hopefully it will be enjoyable anyway.

This update releases a prototype visual novel that adapts part of the Ant 2 content (full body tf into ant-girl but not the mental component). It's an alpha or pre-alpha release. The character art, backgrounds and music are all place holder. Text should be good though.

It was made in the starlight engine (used in House of Pandemonium Remastered: https://tfgames.site/index.php?module=viewgame&id=843) with an enormous amount of help from Salty Justice.

It took a long time and detracted from the Twine game, but hey I learned something. Regret, I learned regret.

Hmm what exactly do you mean by that? Do you mean the visual novel has less content than the HTML? That's because putting stuff into the visual novel is hair pullingly annoying. The Kitsune HTML content is gonna finish before I work on the visual novel again. This is just one of the ant paths.

Or do you mean that the two visual novel versions have different options? They shouldn't and if they do what's different?

Sorry to give the wrong impression, the art's all place holder at the moment. So that's not intended by the design, if that what you want to imagine though feel free! Only thing remotely near final product is the writing.

So it seems like the kitsune content is better received than the ant-content. I'm super invested in the ant-girls, because I really like ant-girls. See profile picture.

Is there something the kitsune content does better or differently than the ant-girl content? From a craft perspective it'd be nice to know what's working and what's not.

Probably just a preference but it might be the fluffy tails. Just trying to joke around about the tails, it could just be a preference like I said, so not sure.

Don't worry I get the joke. I strongly considered that it might just be "Mommy Dom Hypno Kitsune" is a strong archetype but it's tough to say without confirmation.
