canuck land.
Question 1. Besides lust, are there any noticeable low level side affects? At high corruption a beings lust gets really out of hand, and people start to become more dickish. Possible body changes?
Question 2. Can only a demon make a demon? Or is it possible for someone to become so magically corrupt they inadvertently become a type of demon.

In regards to two:

Basically the people who became the first demons were mages who found themselves stuck in the plane of Mareth, which was something of a multiversal roach motel -- you could check in, but you couldn't check out. You couldn't just cast a spell to leave the plane, and the only ways out were portals the plane itself made, which opened and closed in ways you couldn't do jack shit about and only let one person through each time they opened.

Now, some absolute genius mage came up with a brilliant idea: let's go full Izalith and try messing with the soul to work around the rules of the world! One of them pulled the soul out of a volunteer, and, in an incredible twist nobody could have seen coming, they became a demon.

So yeah. Demons are what happen when a soul is completely removed and severed from the body. Whether it's a demon doing it or a mage shotgunning a beer and saying "Watch this", that doesn't end well.
