Choker Tank

Any suggestions for a thematic build around the choker? I presume it's tank who enjoys being a M. But outside of the choker I'm unsure what the most thematic build would be.

Any cool items that I could aim for? Or abilities that would fit/be cool?

Also how negative is libido to tanking? I know you take more "resolve" damage which I think is just straight up HP now. Is it a deal breaker or can it be leveraged as a positive in some way?

In that respect it doesn't necessarily have to be a tank. I mostly like the aesthetic of chokers and think itll be cool to make a build around it or one that utilizes its effect well. So a charmer for the sexy bonus from libido?

There's two options for a choker ATM, the pain slut choker and the collar of submission. For a chaotic or lawful bottom respectfully.
I'm not sure how you'd build a character around a choker exactly. But If you were going for the masochist angle, don't use a shield to take advantage of the choker's ability. Take powers that go full agro at the expense of defense.
Corrupted dawnsword, power within, thunderbrand/thunderbrand but the fire version.
I don't know what to recommend for the for the sub collar. You can be a slut and still fight like a regular person. People just look at the collar and think, "oh, a slut." That's all you really need I think.

I think the question was more geared towards how to use the Pain Slut choker to tank. I don't really have a grasp on the numbers, so I can't really tell you if it's worth doing. I do know a few things tho:

So I think the choker changes crit damage to 30% tease damage. So it would make sense if running armor and items with high Focus would help you reduce the damage you take from the amulet. As far as libido is concerned, high libido is noticeable but not crippling.

TLDR: Wear the painslut choker, use high focus armor, hope it works.

If you want to tank you use a shield, full stop. Which invalidates the choker. The choker lets you soften crits without having to use a shield.
I read "thematic build" so that's what I was going for.

Speaking on theme though cause that's fun, and I do like your suggested build. Running a Regen tank could be cool for a M. Flames within, Reaping blade, bark skin, mare's ring, and bountiful bag (bolstering dance?) are all things that immediately come to mind. Shame champ doesn't get access to Eternal light.

I've been messing around with Charmer's Expert Inspiration since the patch. Effects like Bark Skin, Unbreakable, and Bless, are all really nice with it. I don't know if they're the most effective but I've found them fun.

Yeah that does sound really thematic!

How would one run a regen tank? I remember a white mage build regen tank build posted on the forums that was a regen tank. I can assume Warrior Orc Barbarian Start for max Toughness. Then swapping classes.

If you want to regen tank I definitely would stay away from power within. You're already not going to be using a shield and you should be focusing on gaining HP not losing it. Even with max toughness and matagama, flames within will effectively negate the regen Mare's Ring would give you. Also remember you can carry pupper pale ale with you, so you can dump toughness entirely if you just want to make it your daily alcohol. I'd suggest maxing out prescence in character creation instead, as that also increases your health with the added benefit of making your companions stronger. Of course you can always do both if you aren't an alcoholic. The bountiful bag will increase healing recieved, that includes bark skin and mares ring.

I'm thinking, Prescence (max) Strength, Willpower. Toughness alcohol. Caranbrot, Bountiful Bag, mare's ring.
For powers, Great Heal, Bark Skin, Reaping Blade/Steady Strike, Vitality Reap, Unbreakable

This is the best regen tank I think you could make without a shield. But, It strikes me more as a war cleric, not a masochist. I still reccomend my psycho bitch full agro idea I had at the beginning.

Flames within is a nice buff if you have the regen to sustain it. 30 fire damage per turn isn't that much, you can easily outpace that damage with something like Bolstering Dance, Tranquility, or Bark skin.

If you want to play like a complete psycho and be on 1hp all the time, run any offensive build as a charmer, and slap expert inspiration flames within, and unbreakable on it. Being impossible to kill for 6 turns tends to buy any dps build enough time to get through any enemy.

For a Regen tank, you have a few options. I like flames within just because there are a lot of cases where you can have too much regen, so having a pay off for the constant loss of health is nice, and it fits with the theme of being a masochist. With that said, every one of these builds is going to want Unbreakable as the ult. You might be able to get away with inspiration, but Unbreakable provides a level of security other ults don't imo.

I personally like spell blades a lot, so here's how I'd do it.

Bolstering Dance/Tranquility, Reaping Blade/Leech, Bark Skin, Flames Within, Inspiration/Unbreakable

Your class can be Warrior for the lvl 7 resistance perk, Charmer for the 6 turn invuln, or Thief for the crit. Invest in willpower so that your heals are strong, then you can go presence or toughness, and agility. Personally I'd go AGI Presence Willpower, cause you really don't need that much hp when all of your abilities heal you.

This isn't the best build, but CoC2 isn't a hard game. You should be able to get by with this.

Keep in mind if you get silenced though, you're kinda fucked. So carry remedy or something.
